I followed the instructions, I'm one of those kind of people that make sure I follow every step. I didn't put anything on there for 24 hours. Yet one of them kept falling off. These suction cups are very easy to use. They can hold one wet loofa, but they fall down. However, upon cleaning the back they can be reattached easily.
