Great features and specs for the price
Works great so far, I'll make an updated review if that changes, the router was delivered in a non-branded brown cardboard box but otherwise is like new. Power cables, antennas and manual in the box. Security seems great with built in firewall, VPN (extra charge) malware and virus protection built right in to the RAX50. Great speeds, wifi speed is faster than my old modem/router. Latency seems improved both wired and wireless. Wasn't a huge fan of the setup process needing to be done through the app and no obvious way to do it through the browser on my PC. Maybe I couldn't find it? *Price for the Netgear Armor security is an annual subscription at $100/year for standard, $150/year for "plus" not discounted. But it's optional subscription after the free trial. Subscription services like this are very anti-consumer.

Good router
This router has been very reliable. A bit bigger than I imagined, but good.

I've used Netgear for years with no issues whatsoever. So I ordered this Nighthawk to go in my new office. i installed the app on my phone as suggested, I installed the router per instructions. Now comes the moment to turn on the power and connect my WIFI devices. First I see if my phone recognizes the router, yes it does so I put in the router PW and all is good, so I thought. I open the browser and I am getting the unsecured message and can't go to my homepage, so I turn on both my desktop units and I get the same message. I then went to the app on my phone to possibly make adjustments and it does not recognize the Nighthawk router, so I delete the app and reinstall it, the app installed just fine but still does not recognize the router. I hooked up my old Netgear router and BOOM, everything is working as it should. I did do the troubleshooting from Netgear website to no avail. I'm not a novice to electronics of any kind, but this router had me bamboozled. Did I mention I bought the Nighthawk off Amazon resale, it was a return. Now I know why it was returned, it doesn't work properly. So if I'm still in there return timeline I will definitely be sending it back.

Great Router. Very Satisfied.
This was a refurbished router. Works like new. I am using it for an Access Point and taking advantage of the USB port in the back to have network storage. No Issues setting up. Very fast speed and great signal. For the refurbished price don't know why you'd by new.
