My friend swears by this stuff
I have ordered this product 2 times now. I just sent a box to my friend out of state from me. She has been very ill with a deep and profound congestion in her upper chest and throat. I am sharing what she said to me about GARGLE AWAY. She said that it has a very strong taste. VERY. However, it is very good to break up mucus and congestion that she has been unable to get rid of otherwise. I guess it is on the box saying something that it even kills strep. (Strep throat), which is remarkable. I am not sure from what I have seen on the pics of the boxes on here at Amazon, but I know it is the same company as what I had bought before, and I screen shot the information on the box from my cell phone at the time, and I saw it for myself where it said that it killed strepococcus, or however you spell it. That is some strong, remarkable stuff to do that. It is antimicrobial. I might be spelling these things wrong, don't feel like looking it all up to correct, I just want to get the review out, especially since we are in winter season and so many have been sick with various things. Hope this is a help to someone.

Vocalists: Can't Clear Your Throat? Look No Further.
I have been looking for something to help to clear this stupid gunk out of my throat for some time, now. Like another reviewer, I had tried that Nin Jiom syrup, and several other popular remedies. Don't get me wrong, that Chinese syrup is great, but nothing would clear me out all the way. Using the other things, I could get my singing voice to come out crisp and clear during practice, but still, no matter how much I hacked up, it was like I had this dried-on "super glue" gunk stuck in one particular spot, that wouldn't move, no matter what, and it was really messing with my ability to perform properly. I had figured out how to "sing around it", but it was still really annoying. "Gargle Away" is the only thing that finally got things moving, and after only ONE use. Just a heads up though, it's really nasty-tasting and super spicy. When I was done, my mouth was burning and my nose was running like crazy, but it was totally worth it. If NOTHING else has worked for you, seriously, try this stuff. You do "only" get 6 packets in a box, but, no worries, it IS worth the $10. It's not like you need to use them everyday, anyhow. Think of them as, like, "throat BOMBS". How many do you NEED? Lol. Being that they're like everything else you've ever tried all at once, on steroids, 6 for $10 really is plenty. FYI, I will never be without these, now. - EmhaUPDATE (11/11/21):I have not been officially diagnosed, but based upon the symptoms I was having, it seems that I was suffering from acid reflux, and that was making it seemingly impossible to completely clear my throat. I had to make a few changes to my diet, and I figured I should probably try something a bit more gentle than the "Gargle Away" as well, when need be. FYI, the "Gargle Away" also seems to feel less harsh/spicy the more often you use it, so it doesn't produce the same effect with overuse, and ends up drying out the throat. Anyhow, I recently tried the Throat Coat drops, which, fortunately, do not contain mint––something that is said to exacerbate reflux––and they are fantastic. They still have citric acid and lemon oil in the ingredients, but I am not getting the same reaction from them as when I put lemon juice in my tea. I will still keep the "Gargle Away" on hand for colds and emergencies, since it can't be used regularly, I suppose, but I highly recommend those throat drops for daily use. They are a bit pricey ($6 for 16 drops), but totally worth it. The tea is also nice.

Best thing for a sore throat
This stuff is amazing for a sore throat. I mean simply amazing! I usually feel better after one treatment but it never takes more than 2 for me. I used to be able to find this in stores but either they are always sold out or it’s only sold online now, but this is something you definitely want to keep a good supply of.

Can be Tough to Use but Helped Calm a Years-Long Persistent Cough
I have had a nasty cough for more than 3 years and have been through exhaustive medical testing to determine the cause, and tried a very large variety of treatments and medications with no success at limiting my cough. My body seems to make a lot of phlegm which results in a lot of drainage in my throat. It is common for food particles, especially dry food, to get hung up in my phlegmy throat and start me coughing. Most anything, sometimes even a drink of water, could trigger a coughing fit. Sometimes my coughing fits would cause me to pass out. I started carrying hot tea with me everywhere so I had soothing hot tea to sip regularly through the day. I was often awakened in the middle of the night with a cough that I could not settle down until soothing my throat with some more hot tea. Going out in public became uncomfortable because of this persistent nasty cough. I was getting desperate.I found some Gargle Away in our pantry which we had bought years ago and hadn’t used so I decided to try it to see if it gave me any benefit. All the things that the medical profession had tried for me so far had not worked. After my first week of using Gargle Away morning and night my cough became more normal and I would sleep through the night without being awakened by coughing. I’ve been using it now for 4 months and feel pretty much normal now, my coughing has reduced significantly. Still not gone totally but reduced to the point where I feel normal again. After getting the initial benefit from Gargle Away in a couple weeks I reduced my use to just gargling before bedtime and that has continued to work for me. I don’t have to carry hot tea with me everywhere to curb my coughing. It really works for me and has become a fixture of my daily routine.Gargle Away can be tough to use. Some reviewers have said they can’t stand the taste. It is strong and can be difficult to handle. I find that I get a set of 6 to 7 gargles out of a single pack. Often I cannot make more than a few seconds with the first two gargles without gagging but the remainder of the gargles I have no trouble getting 15 to 20 seconds. I have learned to do a far more “gentle” gargle for the first two gargles out of a set before being a bit more aggressive in gargling. Anyone who has trouble with the taste or gagging should keep at it because it can bring real benefits.

Unbearable taste
I couldn't do it. I mixed it well and followed the instructions and the second I tasted it I nearly threw up. I tried it while holding my nose and that did not help. No thank you.
