Will these work to protect a lost fingernail

I’m not quite sure how to answer that. If you want them to just protect your finger until your nail grows in so you don’t bump it on things and make it go ow!, sure they’ll do that. I bought them because I had a cut on my thumb where it bumped everything and it hurt. So I put a tiny Band-Aid on it and then put the protector over it. it worked very well. when I just tried to put a Band-Aid on it, the Band-Aid would fall off. but the protector kept the Band-Aid on and protected it. The point is, they stay on very well. I actually had forgotten it was on my thumb. I sure hope my answer makes sense, and that the protectors work for you, but if they don’t work for you, don’t sue me!

What is the thickness?

They are about 1/16” thick right out of the package - but when you put it on it really stretches. It is very soft and pliable

how many come with order?

The set I ordered had 10 protectors - they are reusable too.

Do these cut off blood flow in thumb of man who wears a size large glove? What is the aproximate inside diameter near the tip and at the base?

I don't believe you would. They are really stretchy but still supportive.
