I have read numerous books of spiritual teachings, but nothing about astrology. My friend recommended this book to me as the perfect place to start learning. Truthfully, I was shocked at how accurate a description of my life's journey I read. The way the author described my Venus-Moon phase made me understand in a new and succinct way that my whole life from a young age has been devoted to Surrendering and Discovery over and over and over again - but on a different part of the spiral. Honestly, I'm not sure I really believed that this could be determined by the stars and planets - but now i do! It's extraordinary how all light-filled spiritual and metaphysical teachings and information lead you ultimately to the same soul realizations. This book is very easy for the layperson to read, although for those knowledgeable about astrology I'm sure there is much more depth to be found. There is so much information in this book that I know I'll be coming back to it again and again as I digest it. The author is a beautiful writer - he creates and weaves powerful and memorable images throughout the book. He makes you feel the ancient truths he describes, not just understand them on an intellectual level. This was indeed the perfect book to begin my education about astrology.

I learned about Adam Gainsburg's book, "The Light of Venus" during a personal reading where he used the Venus cycle. The reading was excellent and my interest was piqued so I got the book right away. I wasn't disappointed. As a long-time student of astrology, it's always a pleasure to discover a technique that's new to me. Just sat down with this book and discovered how groundbreaking it is. I did not know what to expect and after watching a video of author I knew the book would be rewarding. I have just learned from another astrology book that I am a child of Venus, so I am curious to delve deeper into what that means. In this book I learned I was born into the Fullness of Venus, which is a particular segment of time in Venus's path between the Sun and Earth. A great reference book for understanding the synodic phases of Venus and the characteristics of each phase in the chart. Lots of information, charts, tables. Gainsburg shares a real depth of experience in this book.

There are sections of the book that are real gems - really insightful and poetic regarding the spiritual qualities of Venus. I feel that the book is geared more toward seasoned astrologers, which I am not.

I have studied Astrology formally and informally for many years and become fascinated by the poetic and beautiful cycles of Venus. As a Sun Taurean, Venus is a high calling planet for me and so when I came across Adam's new book I decided to buy it. I had already bought his book on Chiron which I had enjoyed for its very heart centred approach. 'The Light of Venus' is an extremely thoroughly researched book - one for the bookshelf of those with a deeper understanding of Astrology. It has opened up for me new pathways of self understanding in relationship to Love, my Life Path and my creativity.
