Review: Great book but - This was a great manga probably one of my favs on my shelfโs and any Zelda or non Zelda fan would in joy it and thatโs why it is five stars, but in the game they had a shadow temple and it does have a lot of bonus manga at the end. Review: very great read! - Nicely written and drawn out. Loved every single page. I would love to see this series in color! I think it would make everything so much better in every aspect.

Great manga!
I had just finished playing Ocarina of Time Master Quest a few days before I purchased part 1 of this manga. The manga really stays true to the game, while adding in it's own little elements! It really showed the relationship between Link and Zelda that we all wanted to see! And although Link is a mute in the game, his personality is exactly what I expected it to be, which is great. I really loved this book, and part 1, some moments actually left me touched. And of course the book is "backwards"... it's a manga. That is how they read in Japan.

Excellent addition to an excellent video game story
Ocarina of Time has always been one of my favorite video games, along with Majora's Mask, they have to be, hands down, the best games I've ever played. Part of what made me like them so much was their deep story and rich characters. But, being N64 games, the technology wasn't quite there for the developers to be able to tell a complete story with 100% full character development and structure. The cutscenes had to be reduced in order to leave room for actual gameplay; this was great since it left it to the player's imagination to fill in the blanks and connect the dots to make the story complete. What this manga does (along with Majora's Mask's manga) is expand on the game's story and focus on characters instead of fighting/battles. It's a great purchase if you're a fan of both games and I fully recommend it. The drawing are beautiful, taking inspiration from the anime-like style of the games' actual artwork.

An interesting spin on the N64 Classic
Before reading you need to go into this manga knowing that although it has nearly the same flow as the N64 game, the story is told entirely differently, and I think that that was a really good thing on the writers part. Purists may get upset about that, but I thought it made the story more interesting, as things dont go exactly as we expect them to. +Link actually talks, and the way he does is almost exactly how I'd imagine. Young, energetic, and full of courage. +Minor characters like Mido, Saria, and Nabooru get alot more love here than in the games. Some even help Link with the Boss fights which I thought was neat. +I also liked how you get alot more backstory on characters we didn't think about too much in the games. One example was how it was revealed that the Volvagia [pre-timeskip] became Links adorable little pet during his quest. +All the characters have their own distinct personalities now, which makes them all alot more fun, instead of just being npc's. - I was slightly annoyed that the boss fights were over 1-2 hits after Link learns the weak spot. I would've liked to see him struggle a bit. - I know this is geared towards little ones, but I REALLY wanted to see the story take a darker turn post time-skip, like when Link sees the Re-deads for the 1st time. It could've stayed PG while keeping a darker tone. Anyways, if you enjoyed the Games [or even if you never played them] and need a quick, upbeat fantasy manga to read grab the whole set. Trust me, the LoZ Manga series is THAT good. And yes, you'll still enjoy this if you've never played the games.

Amazing!
It's true that, in American culture, mangas like this are considered to be binded backwards, and yes, the pages are read from right to left, but once you start reading, you'll get used to it. Aside from that, reading part 1 and this, they held me from page to page. Even I can't help reading it over and over again!

Good book
I got this for my nephew. He loved it. The story and artwork are great. It comes as an A5 book, but worth it as a sticking filler

Still A Fantastic Read!
Though it doesn't follow 100% of the videogame, it does provide a beautiful story (and stays relatively true to the game) that involves most of the characters from the game and helps build on their characters. It continues from the first book in the series and still manages to captivate the reader. There are also Bonus Stories involving the Skull kid and more. Being a Fan of the original N64 version of the game, this is a fantastic addition to any LOZ fan's Collection. It has also inspire me to buy the next sequel book in the series; Majora's Mask.

Better than I thought!
The Zelda manga is an excellent series for any Zelda fan. Itโs slightly different to the game (itโd be too short otherwise) but itโs been done thoughtfully, matching the tone of the original.
