Voile Straps - 15" Aluminum Buckle Orange

It holds skis together like magic. It also fills many niches in the backcountry gear repair bag, such as holding broken ski boots together or reattaching skins long enough to get back to the trailhead. One tool for many odd jobs.

Underrated !!!

I use a 15" black strap to hold my commuter bike's front wheel to the downtube as a makeshift kickstand, so that when I lean my bike against the filing cabinet at work, the wheel can't turn and let the bike fall over. It works great for that. I've been using the strap for this purpose continually since I bought it on November 2, 2017, and this morning (September 14, 2020), the strap finally failed. That is two months shy of a full three years. The strap had been showing signs of stress (elongation of the one hole that I always connect to) for the past couple weeks, and finally tore all the way through. Considering that I was using the same eyelet/hole every time, and the bike was parked in front of a large floor-to-ceiling window receiving direct sunlight every day, I consider this pretty impressive longevity and came to Amazon right away to order a new one. I figured I'd leave a review for others' benefit while I'm at it. It was well worth the $8 I paid in 2017, and I'm glad to see the price has only gone up to $8.50 (including shipping) since then. Thank you Voile for making a quality product at a reasonable price!

Holds skis tight, only drawback was having to pay for shipping...didnt notice that when I ordered them.

Purchased these straps as a possible way to secure a massage gun in place so I could reach areas such as my back and shoulders. To my delight, these straps did the trick! Using 2 straps, I secured it to one of the metal posts of my headboard, and have been able to attack those pesky tight spots in my back and shoulders! Had been looking for a more affordable alternative to the insanely expensive "massage gun mounting holders," and needed a solution that wasn't a corner wall. Happy to say these are easy to put in place, even as someone with nerve/ joint issues in my hands. Overall, happy customer!

Helps to keep a shovel attached to a bicycle. Probably not what most of you buying are interested in, but that is an option.

These are awesome straps for carrying xc skis from car to trailhead, and many other uses for outdoor adventures. I didn't know they are available with plastic buckles, which I am ordering next. You have to be very careful with the metal buckles, to avoid scratching skis or anything they might be rubbing against when tightened. They seem to be able to easily walk themselves out of backpack side pockets. I lost two straps on my first trip out. Not sure how they do that, tucked deep into the side pocket, but I won't ding them a star for that, just will be more careful to put them in a zippered pocket in the future. A nice amount of stretch to keep them gripping items.

I 1st saw these skiiing on with heli tour operator and they were the standard for everything. These things are tough as nails and faster to use than velco straps. I wish they would get them on Prime for shipping but this is the strap you will use for YEARS.
