Tastes pretty good!
We recently purchased several Spry products = the berryblast mints, and the lemon mints, and a couple of the containers of gum as well. We all agree that the taste is pretty good, but not so much that you or your kids will be eating them like candy! I purchased these because I wanted to change the environment of my mouth because I've had some problems with very soft teeth. After reading that using Xylitol products could help prevent dental problems like decay and gum problems, I really wanted to give it a try, hoping to prevent our kids from going through the same problems. I've always been really careful about my teeth, but have always had bad teeth. As a kid we went to the dentist every 6 months like clockwork, had floride treatments, braces, brushed 3x a day, and started flossing as a teen. As an adult I've taken really good care of my teeth because I've learned to hate going to the dentist! After doing quite a bit of reading about changing your dental health by changing what you eat/drink, and the dental products you use, I ordered my 1st order of Xylitol products. All of them are really good as far as taste, and the toothpaste leaves my teeth very smooth - even more so than my regular floride toothpaste. I read a couple of books on the subject, and looked at a couple of online resources. The best value in the books seemed to be "Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye", at a little over $10 on Amazon. I'll have to do an update to let you know how our kids do on the products. All I can do for myself is try not to lose any teeth, and try to prevent getting dentures! I already have lots of fillings and lots of crowns - which are SO expensive! I wish there were a way to get away with not getting them, but having teeth break, unfortunately has been par for the course for me. I'm hopeful the Xylitol products work better than what we've been doing! The cost is very reasonable, well worth giving it a try, and because they taste good, there's no pain in trying something different. We all tried the Biotene products, and that didn't go over well at all. Except for the toothpaste and oral rinse none of us liked any of the other products - gum, mouth spray, etc. They were also a bit on the expensive side. We also tried Smart Mouth rinse and mints, and they were so awful we threw all of it away! It's supposed to keep your mouth moist, but it didn't at all, and the taste was horrible - the kids and I couldn't bear to use the products. So, of all the products we've tried, the xylitol products are definately the best value! Delicious Berry Flavored Mints!
Refreshingly different from overly pepperminty mints is how I think of these mildly strawberry flavored mints. There is a hint of mint but nothing extreme like the peppermint version. To be honest these taste like candy to me! I wake up in the middle of the night and my mouth is dry so I pop one of these mints in my mouth and feel better and can go back to sleep after a sip of water. These are not mints you chew and they don't have any sugar in them. They are fresh tasting and I like to pop two at a time because they seem good that way. The quality is high and the flavor lasts a few minutes. I think if you enjoy the Spry mints you will love these. ~The Rebecca Review

Excellent flavor, excellent dental care...
I'm actually a Dental student. I started myself on Xylitol when I learned of the advantages during dental school. Xylitol is a natural sugar that is not fermentable by bacteria. What that means is that it does NOT promote caries (dental decay) and in fact, multiple studies show Xylitol to reduce bacterial levels. Research is being done to figure out what gives Xylitol it's seemingly bactericidal effect, but for now, studies indicate that it's effective at reducing oral bacterial load by 30-60% (YES THAT IS AN ENORMOUS PERCENT). Current studies are inconclusive in regards to any beneficial periodontal effect with respect to disease. However there is evidence of Xylitol promoting nasopharyngeal health. The user must have at least 6g of Xylitol dissolved in the mouth each day across multiple instances. That equates to 4 of these mints after each of your daily 3 meals. The Spry gums have 50% more Xylitol content so, 6-8gums/day, chew for 5 min or until no longer sweet. Note that this sugar is not used as a regular sweetener because having more than 20g/day may lead to diarrhea depending on your size/weight. Children should also have a reduced maximum load (they make Xylitol juices). Keep to ~6g/day max for children ages 3-10 to be safe (un-supported assumption). The berry flavor is just outstanding. I could replace popcorn during a movie with these (although not such a good idea to have either during an extended period). I've tried the lemon burst flavor too and it's not good. I could argue that the lemon burst flavor isn't even tolerable let alone good, and tastes rather acidic which would be bad for teeth... Other things to note: This is not a sugar like Stevia or some other cariostatic sugar. Stevia and sugars like it are good for diabetics and people with high caries risk because it's a natural sweetener that is not metabolized by the body and it's cariostatic effects. Cariostatic sugars do not kill bacteria. Xylitol actually reduces the presence of bacteria (bactericidal). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me: BForooghi@gmail.com UPDATE: It's been many years now. I'm still using Xylitol products personally and strongly recommending it to my patients to help treat a host of issues from cavities to sleep apnea and sinus/ear infections. It's really almost like a miracle when I snort the spray... Anyways, here's a recent response from a nameless poster which I feel was a good addition to the review: Xylitol is showing promise with ear and respiratory infections as well: Since xylitol inhibits the growth of bacteria, "research shows that this effect enables xylitol to help prevent bacteria and irritants from adhering to upper respiratory passages when used as a nasal wash. Studies have also shown that 8 grams of xylitol, taken orally every day, prevented about 40% of ear infections." For households that have pets, note that xylitol should always be kept away from all pets, as "it can be deadly to dogs and should not be fed to any pets". xylitol.org/faqs-questions-about-xylitol

Great sugar-flavor that's good for your teeth!
Let me start off by admitting that I thought I was going to be getting Spry berry flavored gum when I purchased this product. The package looks identical to the Spry gum packages and I just assumed it was gum, despite the 'mints' labeling. However after popping the first piece in my mouth, I knew this was not the case. After a brief moment of disappointment, I was then hit by the realization that these taste really good! While it wasn't the gum I was expecting, I am still glad I got them. When you first open the package you will get a strong odor resembling very closely the smell of Strawberry favored Nesquik milk. Even the color of these mints is pink. Not unlike its smell, the taste is very much similar to the strawberry flavored Nesquik milk as well. Very smooth sweet sugar-like taste, which has a surprisingly 'creamy' flavor texture to it. They remind me of some other sugar-flavored candies I have had in the past, but I just can't put my finger on it at the moment. Either way these are extremely tasty, and it wouldn't be hard to eat 2-3 dozen in one sitting! As for the texture of these candies (which I will call candy, since they are definitely not mints) is tough at first with similarity in flavor, feeling and hardness to a jaw-breaker, then has a 'crumbly' texture once you bite down on them. But at first they are quite hard, so if you have weak teeth, beware not to just grab a handful and start chewing. After a few seconds of mouth-acid breakdown, they are easily chewed (or sucked on). Overall I am presently surprised. I have had a few different Xylitol flavored 'mints' (Epic Dental fruit flavored Xylitol mints for example, which are still really good BTW) in the past, and these just might be the most interesting and tastiest. And you cannot beat the fact that they are good for your teeth! In a way it feels wrong to indulge on these because they taste so much like real sugar candies. But then you remind yourself that they are essentially the exact opposite of sugar, and you pop in a few more pieces! However, I am docking one star because as others have pointed out, there is Chinese raw materials used in this product (I would assume the Xylitol is from China). And like others, when it comes to food, I do not trust Chinese products. Most everything is made in China nowadays, but I draw the line when it comes to things I am going to ingest. But they taste so good you are willing to look the other way to enjoy these. Although I probably wouldn't get them again for this reason. Once Spry stops using China based raw materials for their gum and mints, I might just become a lifetime buyer. But until then, I will stick to other mint and gum products not influenced by Chinese materials.

As a 1st time user, I agree with other 5 star reviewers, Berry Blast is very good!
This is my first Spry Xylitol Mints purchase. They are slightly more expensive on Amazon, as they sell direct from the manufacturer for $10.99, however, I didn't want to order over $30 worth of dental mints at the xclear website (the manufacturer of the mints @ xclear.com) as a first time user. I read many reviews and almost purchased the Lemon Burst Spry mints but the 1 and 2 star reviews stated how much the mints taste like chemicals or furniture polish. The Berry Blast mints had more ratings and a greater percentage of 5 star ratings as well. Now that I have tried the mints I can share my thoughts. If you are not sure if you will like these mints purchase from Amazon so that you are not stuck with a ton of mints that you may not like. BUT if you want to go all in and try a few different flavors then order direct from xclear.com because they have free shipping over $30 and 20% discount for auto ship AND you can purchase smaller 40 and 45 count tins of the mints and try a sampling of flavors. That being said I am pleased with my Amazon purchase. The mints are about the size of an m&m. They are sweet, but not too sweet, in my opinion. I don't think they freshen my breath as they are not minty. I rely on my dental routine to keep fresh breath not any mint. More or less I bought them for the release of xylitol. They are like a tic tac in way of their hardness and melting in your mouth. I do not chew mints as I have extensive dental work and do not want to crack a filling or tooth. I did not find them to be gelatinous or overly slimy. I just let it slowly dissolve. That said, I would recommend starting slowly to see if you have a reaction. I am starting with 2 mints, 3 times a day. That is less than the 6mg of xylitol recommended as a minimum per day, but I prefer to err on the safe side and avoid GI distress. And I feel that having some xylitol is better than having no xylitol or other acidic mints. Why these mints? I want to maintain the dental work that I have. I am trying to avoid any leaking or degeneration of my composite fillings. Also I had previously had tic tacs in my car and purse but they were not supporting my health. These spry mints are an addition to my dental routine: brushing, flossing, rinsing with regular Cool Mint Antiseptic Listerine and then Act Anti cavity fluoride rinse twice a day. I used to be a regular diet coke drinker but I have cut down to once a week and now sip on water throughout the day. I recommend these mints and this seller. Mine arrived 2 days later via prime. As another reviewer mentioned, I cut a small hole in the top of the seal so they do not spill. I also put a handful of mints into a small container to leave in my car. In the future I will probably try the Peppermint and Lemon as I do not feel that they Berry Blast is very strong. Thats exactly why I like them, they are depositing xylitol and not too strong a flavor!

Yummy but not too freshening
Yummy and i like how the xylitol helps dental health. I like having xylitol after cigarettes or sweets to kind of hopefully offset the effects LOL. Not the most freshening mints it also doesn’t help much with dry mouth in my experience. But it does have the xylitol so it’s still useful, i just wouldn’t get again

Great!
These are wonderful for dry mouth. I take one before bed and during the night, if I need one. They are pleasant tasting and several in one jar so will last me longer than any others I have tried. For the amount in the jar the price is amazing. I'm glad I decided to order them.....😊

Yummy and great for your mouth health!
Great flavour and great for your mouth! I have three to six per day, as Xylitol is well-known for reducing plaque and fighting cavity-causing bacteria. They’re also great for combating dry mouth so I have one before I go to sleep. I keep one container on my desk and one in my bedroom so I can be sure to remember to have them. They're not what I would call cheap, but a container lasts a long time, as you aren't meant to eat them like candy. The berry flavor is pleasantly sweet, I'm not a mint fan so I love the berry option. It took my tummy a few days to get used to them, they can cause mild stomach discomfort as with most xylitol-based products. Xylitol is highly toxic to dogs so make sure you keep them away from pets.

I take a ton of medications that cause dry mouth, which has led me to waste my money all kinds of dry mouth products - mints, toothpaste, mouthwash, spray, gel pressure washer...While some work okay, I always found that my mouth never really felt like the dryness was gone, I always felt some sort of residue left over 😝, so I've been forced to choose between having sticky stuff all over my mouth, or skip the mint and just live with having my lips stick to my teeth when I talk. Now, I know this is cliché, but I really don't leave reviews unless I find something worth writing a review for. This product is 💯🔥🤤🥹!!! One tiny candy and my mouth dryness is gone...for real. No residue, no running looking for more water. Oh, and I can't tell you how excited I got to find extra little individual pieces of gum to try! Maybe I get excited about the little things, but that made my day and made me like this company even more. I am honestly debating buying cases in case it ever gets discontinued, and there will be no sharing, unless the person is mint-worthy (Seinfeld reference) 🤣 All hilarious jokes aside, if you suffer from dry mouth, just buy this stuff and throw away all those other products you've wasted your money on and buy yourself something pretty instead 🫶✌️

Great Berry taste, excellent value for 240 tablets.
Just got these xylitol berry blast tablets, great berry taste which is not too strong but tastes loooooooovely. Tablets perfect size not to big or small, and great value bottle size which is fully sealed when first opening, 240 tablets which is superb value for price compared to most other similar xylitol tablets on the market, great for oral hygiene and should reduce tooth decay if taken daily, I will update my review in a month's time on my findings using these xylitol tablets compared to other makes I have used previously.
