This is the book about money you want.
At the beginning of the study of money with my gifted first and second graders, they wrote things they wanted to know about money including its origins and why we even have it. This book answers all their questions and more! The pictures are vivid and well-chosen. The text isn't overly-simplified. I could not have chosen a better book for this unit.

Great book for kids who love factoids...
My kids love this book. They enjoy all of the National Geographic fact books but this one is especially helpful for me. My kids are really interested in foreign currency for some reason and I can't answer any of their questions so this book promotes their researching answers to their own questions. Money well spent. Hee Hee.

Great for kids
My son is really interested in money and coins lately. For Christmas I purchased this book along with some other coin/money collecting items. He was beyond excited.

Great book about money for everyone
This is a great book about money. I bought it for my little cousin since he is so interested in people giving him money for Christmas and birthdays. I hope this book helps him learn more about all of the different aspects of money.

Thinner than it looks and is more like a picture book
This book has a lot less details than we thought it would. Lots of pictures, a few facts. Likely great for younger children, not enough information for 5th grade and up.

Not what I thought
THis is a great book to teach children about $$, and how to use it. Very well written, and well illistraated. The pictures make the book. Well suited for children Tweens, and teenagers. Pictures are good for any age. Do not let the youngish pictures be a deterrant. There are good clear pictures, which makethe subject easier to understand.

not worth.
I ordered it thinking it will be telling stories of different currencies...but no...it tells u about what money cant buy stuff too. not worth buying if you are looking for some information related to currencies.
