My sister recommended we purchase these products for our mattresses, box-springs and pillows just for preventive purposes. They work like a charm.

NOT WATERPROOF LIKE IT SAYS! DON'T BUY THIS.
This mattress packaging says it is waterproof. Well, it is not. My 2 year old daughter had an "accident" on our bed with this encasement in place and the pee permeated all the way into my mattress. And my mattress is not cheap! This product is a useless piece of junk and should be removed from the market. BTW, I only washed this product twice according to the instructions, so there wasn't any damage to the product.
