A board book with flaps to lift! Gabby's tools are missingโand it's up to Blaze and AJ to find them! Starring the trucks from Nickelodeon's Blaze and the Monster Machines , this sturdy board book, which features surprises under every flap, will be loved by boys ages 0-3. Race into action with Blaze and the Monster Machines ! Preschoolers will learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), as they help Axle City's greatest hero overcome Crusher's cheating ways and save the day with Blazing Speed, spectacular stunts, and awesome transformations! Review: Nice book for 3 year old. - This book has a lot of windows to open on each page. Great for my 3 year old grandson. He loves Blaze and monster trucks. Review: Sturdy and entertaining for a 2 year old - Bought for my 2 year old nephew for his birthday, he loves this show and is in a big trucks-of-all-kinds phase. The book itself is a decently sturdy board book, with LOTS of flaps for kids to look under. It seems very short, but it has so many things to look at and under on each page that it kept him engaged for like 20 minutes. I've not seen the show, so maybe this is a thing they do, but I was surprised (but pleased) by the specific definitions. For example, they defined "friction" and "hydrofoil", which was great, because I had zero clue wtf a hydrofoil was supposed to be lol. All the wording, even the scientific definitions, were written in a very age appropriate way. The story itself isn't anything to write home about, but he was completely engrossed, which is a major win for a kid with an attention span as short as his. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with both the quality and content.

Held his attention age 3
So so many flaps to lift. This book talks about engines, pistons and other parts he can see just by lifting the flap. His grandfather loves telling him about different problems with cars and explaining what cars are supposed to actually do. Even when playing alone this 3 year old looks under the flaps and repeats what he heard. It holds his attention and he asks what the parts are called.

Good story and cute
Super cute, both my boys love it. Its pretty durable against how rough they are with their books.

Great for Blaze fans
My daughter (5) and son (3) are both fans of the show and this book. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is the same story as the episode in which Crusher steals Gabby's toolbox. I like my kids to see their favorite stories retold in multiple formats so I don't have an issue with it. The quality of the book is good, the flaps have held up to multiple readings. My quibble with the book is that some of the flaps really should be opened in a particular order to propel the story forward however this is not indicated in any way on the outside of the flaps (ie. by numbering them). I find this mildly annoying enough to mention it and also consider it a missed opportunity to incorporate basic math skills. It's definitely not an award winner but it's a fun read for fans of the show.

My 2.5 yr old daughter loves it. The flaps r sturdy also compared to others books she has. Just wish their was more writing and direction in reference to the flaps but my daughter doesn't seem to care.
