Kieba Coccyx Seat Cushion, Gel Memory Foam Large Orthopedic Tailbone Pillow for Sciatica, Back, and Tailbone Pain (Black)

I love this product so much that when I accidentally left it on a plane, I am mediately bought a new one for myself and one for a good friend who also spends a lot of time sitting on her job. I am a petite woman, 5‘4“ tall and 130 pounds, and I find that the cushion remains firm under my weight. This means that it even makes wooden surfaces more comfortable. It also lives up to the promise of being cooling. I used this while in a tropical Climate with no air-conditioning, and it did not create additional heat. It is a godsend for me on long plane rides. I have mild arthritis in my neck and plane seats are often extremely uncomfortable for me. With this cushion, I could get comfortable enough to actually fall asleep and wake up without significant stiffness in my neck. I also used it on a bumpy speed boat ride, which is torture on my neck because of all the bouncing up and down. Having the open space below my coccyx reduced, though did not eliminate the impact that each bounce sent up to my neck. I really don’t have any complaints about this cushion. In fact, I will probably buy one more to keep on my car seat.

TL;DR : I love this cushion and now I don't like to sit down without it hahaaaa! Let me give you some information for better context here: I sit at my computer all day, every day (virtually). I work from home on my computer, I browse the web, shop, play games, etc... So at least 5 days a week I sit down at my desk from the time I'm having my first cup of coffee all the way up to bedtime. I'm talking anywhere from 8 - 18 hours (depending on the day) of just sitting at my desk with minor breaks for restroom and refreshments. Now on to the review: I absolutely love this cushion! After just a single day of use I noticed an improvement in my lower back. As the days progress my lower & mid back pains are diminishing more and more. Even my shoulders and neck can feel an improvement. I never expected it to have such a noticeable effect, especially as quickly as it has. It never "goes flat" on me even after many hours of sitting on it, though I also only weigh about 120 lbs (though other cushions still go flat on me so I know I weigh enough to flatten some of them). It also doesn't get super hot like some of the other cushions I've sat on in the past. I seriously do not like to sit down without this thing anymore. I love it!

I've been a computer programmer for a quarter of a century, and I've developed some awful posture habits in that time, which no doubt contributed to some mild disc degeneration I now have in my lumbar region. Over the past three years, sciatic pain in my left leg has grown from a mild annoyance to something that actually affects my ability to work. I tried a softer office chair, but eventually the cushioning in the seat portion shifted to the point that it was little better than the typical hard seat. An older relative suggested I look for an orthopedic seat cushion. After browsing through some of the choices on Amazon, I settled on this one. The Kieba cushion took some getting used to. The memory foam felt stiff at first, but in spite of that, I began to feel the benefits right away. For one thing, it promotes better posture. When I sit properly using the cushion, my sciatic pain either disappears or is easily ignored. The cushion presses against my pelvic bones some, but there is little or no discomfort associated with that. The overall results were impressive enough for me to buy a second one for the chair I use with my home computer. Giving a tentative four stars. I've been using the product for less than a month, so I'm leaving myself room to adjust the rating up or down based on my experiences as time passes.

I got this product as a gift for my mother for her birthday as she has several back problems and sitting for any period of time in an uncushioned seat causes her great pain and discomfort. I’m extrordinarily satisfied with this product. Immediately my mother found sitting in chair, like those in waiting rooms at doctors offices, much less painful and more comfortable. She can't however use it in the car, but that’s just because she’s tall rather than the cushion itself. I’d say that’s the only shame, if you’re over 5’9 and looking for a cushion specifically for the car something a inch or so thinner might work better. I also had an experience when receiving this product that I was first disappointed by, but soon found myself happier than ever by it. When I received my cushion it happened to have a faulty zipper. I contacted the seller honestly not really expecting much. I expected I’d probably have a hassle and the seller want the cushion or case returned first, or have to pay some amount for a replacement. To my surprise however, the seller was extrordinarilg kind! I explained my situation and they apologized profusely for what had happened, and without question or hesitation sent me a replacement cover that I recieved without delay in two days time. I’ve never had such great customer service from an online seller! And ever since I’ve had no issue with the cushion or the case. I’d DEFINETLY recomend this product both for its superior quality aswell as amazing customer support for anyone looking for a seat cushion!

I bought this when I also purchased a Domain brand stationary recumbent bike seat cover, and this was superior padding over the item specifically made to pad the bike seat. It also didn't slip on the seat like the bike pad seat cover did. I am returning the Domain product and keeping this. I bought this for my wife, but she didn't feel it comfortable for her office chair or car seat. In the car, she noted there was a gap between the under side of her legs and the car seat where the pad doesn't reach. That being said, it was a perfect fit for my bike seat and extremely better padding than the bike seat product. I tired in on my computer chair and it did pad it better and was comfortable in that case. At this time, I can't speak to how much pain relief it may offer or it's durability since I just received it.

I broke my tailbone in a fall in the bathroom, and my orthopedic surgeon suggested this as there was little else he could do. I must say it helps ALOT in the car. In the car I was almost in tears after a 10 minute drive, but with the cushion it has allowed me to go as far as an hour without discomfort. At home on the sofa, or in the recliner it does little to help. I'm not sure why, but it probably has something to do with the way you sit. There were no instructions included, so I had to lookup which way around it went (I know that sounds stupid, but really, think about it from an older persons prospective), and the "cooling" effect seems non-existent. There is no insert you put in your freezer, etc, and the cooling was part of the reason I bought it, as the DR had mentioned icing it. Overall, worth the purchase just for the car comfort, but otherwise, would not have kept it

Edit**** I have now used this in my mini van and it fits perfectly! I was sore after a long day at work and used it to drive home and by the time I got home the pain was GONE! It was cooling to sit on which felt amazing! I. LOVE. IT. 🥰😍🙌🏻 I have only tried it in my office chair at work. It is a bit too small for the chair so I have to move it forward a bit which feels awkward. That not the fault of the cushion, it’s just a big seat. I will have to try it in like my van’s driver seat and see how it does. I was hoping for more but again, not the fault Of the cushion. I was looking forward to a miracle cure for my pain which was caused by a horrible car wreck 24 yrs ago while pregnant.

Ok I realized I never reviewed this product, but I purchased it in 2016 and its still as good as the day I got it. I use it everyday in my computer chair and I'm disabled and sedentary. It's just firm enough to give you support without going flat and very comfortable. I find it very difficult to sit for long periods in a chair without it. I weigh about 200 lbs so 8 years and still going strong is a big thumbs up for me!

This will save your life (or at least your butt!) on long haul flights and, it fits in my carry-on luggage. You can clip it to your bag or backpack, too.

This seat cushion is amazing. It works almost immediately. I have used it for 5 weeks and it completely eliminates my lower back pain and sciatica pain. And my shoulder pain is also gone when sitting for long periods of time at my desk. I highly recommend this Kieba Coccyx Seat Cushion. It arrived on time, and it's well made.
