Wear rubber gloves or they may not work.
I have cats. I was overrun this year by field mice. They are very cunning at what they do and they are also viscous in nature. Different traps would work for maybe one rounds. I think I figured out one major reason. They have an unbelievable sense of smell. If they smell a mouse cadaver or a human they will avoid the traps. They seem to really like this bait and for a while stopped working. In my research I realized the importance of wearing rubber gloves when you handle the packs - presumably to avoid getting human scent on them. They are non-toxic so I cannot see any other reason. Anyway since I started wearing rubber gloves they are working well for what mice I have left.

ONLY thing that worked! Non toxic.Won’t harm kids/animals.No smell or mess.Mice DEHYDRATE!
These DEHYDRATE mice once dead! No smell. These are nontoxic for humans and animals ! No mess. The ONLY product ( or natural) that Killed them all! I had a real problem and everything I tried didn’t work. And I tried everything. When I found these, I couldn’t believe it. Yes So easy to just throw these under the a cupboard under the sink under the bed behind cabinets or the sofa. The mouse x and the rat x have the same ingredients.

Doesn't work- mice didn't eat this at all
I purchased these and put several down, the mice have not touched it so it's useless. I used steel wool to plug the areas they come in but injured my back and will eventually cover the holes with metal and molding to see if that helps... we did have the outside areas covered by someone but I have to check that again and have someone else come back. Ever since we had the siding redone the situation got worse. So my advice is if you have asbestos tile leave it alone, siding just creates holes all over your house. I was also stung by a wasp while sleeping, and had them twice in my bedroom due to holes left by the people who did the siding. This product is a waste of time and money. I won't use the wafarin ones as cats can die from that and I can't use traps. What a mess. I still have clean up to do but can't due to my back. I don't want my cats getting them and eating them because they can get re-exposed to different strains of t gondii and one tragically passed away from toxoplasmosis. I would like a refund but I think it is too late. I will try calling. I have to wonder how there are so many good reviews here. I know there are still mice in the garage and studio because I found one that had drowned in a basin of water I had forgotten to put away which was horrific and that was several weeks after I put these down. In addition none of them have been eaten and when my cats escape to the garage one goes immediately to one area where they would wait for the mice- once when he was out there I heard him knock over something so he was chasing one but didn't catch it. I'm going to set up some cameras to see if I can see them at all. Hopefully covering the holes with metal panels and molding and sealing up the outside will eventually work.

Open the bag--your mice may be smart or dumb!
The box says that you do not need to open the pellet throw packs a bit before tossing them. That didn't work for the one that I tossed into my attic. Either my attic's critters are very dumb OR very smart--because they didn't eat through the bag. LOL! When I went up to attic to check and noticed that after 10 days it was still there and unopened, I opened it for them and dumped contents onto a paper plate. A few hours later, I could hear a feeding frenzy and now no mice have been heard or seen up there since. I'm assuming the mouse have dehydrated and died, but there's definitely not any smell. MouseX said there'd be no smell, and they were right!

Your pets are safe!
This is great for your pets so they will be safe. We have out buildings and neighborhood cats come to hunt. We have had cats dying from poison over the years because we can not control what mouse control methods neighbors use. It was so sad to lose our pets that way. But our neighbors cat show up and it's great to have peace of mind knowing that they can hunt on our property safely. Love the cats, they are a great benefit to the whole neighborhood. The throw bags can be tossed in and under many different areas so easily. There is no smell and the value is very good. You might have to pickup a small amount of paper from the throw bag afterwards. The pellets look much like a wood pellet. The product is in clear pouches that you toss where you need and easy to place in tight spots like under steps, or behind boxes in the shed. Wonderful!!! Not a disappointment!!!!

Didn’t work for us
I was noticing holes in the snacks inside our snack drawer . I said we for sure have a mouse and with a special needs child and dog I wanted to try this before calling the exterminator. I was careful to not get my scent on the packet , the mouse did eat from it and I replaced it every week. It was taking awhile , but i figured its contained to the drawer, maybe with time he just needs to eat more of it . After waiting 3 weeks , him getting into the dog food, eating my avocados on the counter , scaring me to death one morning scurrying along the floor, we ended up having the exterminator close up all the holes in my kitchen. So after my long story - they didn’t work (also the mouse was not big at all )
