Can someone measure the bottom opening lengthwise? I'd like to place a 12 inch tray underneath. Wondering if it will fit?

This stand is longer than 12 inches.

what is the minimum width of the open space under the stand (between where the pads touch the table top)?

My stand measures 10-5/8" from the point of edge of pad on each side. I don't know how these are made, so there may be variations. It all depends on your use of the stand. Good luck.

How much room is there under the stand measuring from the foot pads to the underside?

About 2 1/4 inches from the top of the foot to the underside, about 2 1/2 inches from the underside to the surface of the table.
