I would not refer to this is a "bold" flavored coffee. Most dark roast beans have a lot of flavor and "depth", but this bean does not. I think the packaging is nice quality, and the beans looked quite fresh when I opened them. But from a flavor standpoint, it was pretty mild for a dark roast. It is a smooth sipper, which is nice; but I am looking for more flavor when I am drinking my dark roast.

I am so thankful to have discovered Lifeboost Coffee Beans! My search was precipitated by a negative experience (inconsistent quality) with another low acid coffee company/product, I exclusively drink dark roast coffee because of its strong flavor and because it has less caffeine..Lifeboost definitely has a bold and strong taste, but it is not bitter (I drink my coffee black). I can also drink a couple of cups in the morning and not feel loopy or jittery. I also "bullet proof" it it in the blender with a tablespoon of coconut oil if I need a caffeine kick in the afternoon. It makes a very yummy coconut latte..I am a repeat customer (at least five orders of a minimum of two bags/order) and the beans consistently have been fresh and (most important to me) all dark roast! No stomach upset. And no skin rash from too much acid!Is it pricey? If you love coffee and you need low acid beans with great flavor, then the answer is: You're worth it!. Do the math for yourself -- if you buy your coffee by the cup at a cafe or commercial chain, purchasing and grinding your beans will save you a ton of money, even at this price. I also love the affirmations that come attached to the burlap bags (are they recyclable?) and share the positive notes with my friends..Thank you Lifeboost for making it possible for me to continue to drink good and health-affirming coffee (in my humble opinion, FDA), especially during the current Arctic-cold snap of this winter.! And thank you to the farmers who grow and harvest the beans.

The coffee was mislabeled. We got grounds instead of beans. My husband loved the beans from last time. Disappointed this time. We bought 2 and are returning one as we were out of coffee and had to use one. How can we be sure to get the right item next time?

These coffee beans are just ok. Everyone has different preferences. These beans visually are very dark and taste is not as savory as Colombian Coffee. They're good but not as good value for the price. I'll stick with my Colombian, Cuban and Italian coffees.

Good coffee. I chose medium roast but next time would buy dark roast. Just my preference.

For the price I paid I was shocked at the unappealing quality of this coffee. After hand-grinding my beans and brewing one cup at a time in my french press, even coffee beans from the supermarket will taste fine. I have brewed three cups of this coffee so far and have left all three cups to cool in the wind. I should have sensed the reviews were too good to be true... the copy too well written. This coffee is going to the compost heap and I'm reclassifying this purchase as a learning experience.I *did not* receive this item at a discount, unlike many others who have rated this coffee, so this is my honest review.
