Will this work when installed horizontally? shower drain pipes in Israel are installed horizontally with a downslope of a few degrees.

It relies on the weight of the water to open it, so I don’t know. It’s not what it was designs for.

Is this legitimate sureseal or a knock off? why is it so much cheaper than other sureseal for same size?

No, it is legit. I purchased a few of them at that great price. All the sizes are good. Pass inspection.

Does this work on washing machine drain pipe?

If you plan on inserting the washing machine hose into this, then no. This seal is meant to let water drain then close up. A hose cannot be inserted into this seal.
