Great Quality & So Many Useful Features!
I’m really impressed with these RETTACY notebooks! The set comes with two leather hardcover journals, and I love that there are different color options to choose from. Each notebook has 188 numbered writing pages, a cover page, and three table of contents pages, which makes staying organized so much easier. I also love all the little extras—the two ribbon bookmarks, pen holder, elastic closure band, note dividers, and back pocket for storing loose papers or notes. The paper feels nice and thick, and the size is perfect for work, school, journaling, or everyday note-taking. Overall, these notebooks are functional, organized, and a great value for a two-pack!

Slightly detailed review
For the price, it is worth it. Size: Its a bit bigger than the packet of pens as ahown in picture. Its a comfortable size that can be carried around with ease. Cover: The cover has a soft feel but is hard and sturdy and will not bend easily. Pages: The pages have an off white color. The dots are about the space of college rulled line paper and they are not too noticable which is good. The pages feel slightly thicker than normal paper but does bleed through very little when writing with a black sharpie. I wrote with a pencil, black pen, fine point bic pen and neither of those bleeds through the page. Other: Each book lays flat when open dispite the hard cover. They also come with 2 ribbons attached to the book to save your place, a pen holder, a pocket in the back for storage and a elastic ribbon to hold the book together. I am happy with this purchase. I would rate 4 stars but the slight bleeding of the page is not very noticable and given the price, it is worth it.

recipient loves them
precocious 9yo girl wanted dotted notebooks; I picked these for their apparent quality, color, price, and shipping speed -- girlie is so pleased and made sure I know so I can get more for her in future. They are lovely and feel good to the touch. I haven't written in them myself of course but the paper looks quite smooth and thick.

Thick pages
I wanted an affordable version of Leuchttrum. Yeah. These will do. They are numbered. Has some content pages to start. Penholder, elastic strap and a little pouch for storing. I do like how the ink does not go through to the next page. Well worth the price.

Great for the price, purchasing again
The journal has 28 dots across and 41 dots lengthwise, or 27x41 spaces. The last 8 pages or so are perforated. It includes 2 ribbons in separate colors (mine are pink and gray), a loop for a pen, and a back pocket with 2 sets of stencils. The cover feels like faux leather, and stickers adhere to it well (see 1st picture of the front cover which includes a sticker that has stayed put for about 5 months). Pros: Excellent for the price. Sturdy – it has held up well to daily use and bouncing around in my backpack for 5 months. Stays open and lies flat (most of the time; see cons below). The paper is a good quality; I haven’t yet accidentally torn anything. It has held up well to added bulk from putting stickers or gluing postcards to the inside pages. Cons: There is a bit of ghosting, at least with the Papermate Flair pens that I use (see 2nd picture). You can tell that it’s cheaply made. Some of the pages appear to be put in unevenly; it looks fine while closed, but when you turn to the specific pages, they don’t quite match up, or it may want to automatically turn to certain pages. This is especially exaggerated by the end papers on the front and the back (see 3rd picture), but most are not nearly that bad. Overall, it is very good for the price. I have already bought another pack to use once this one is filled up, since I gave the other one to my niece. If small inconveniences such as ghosting and uneven pages won’t bother you too much, I definitely recommend these journals.

Great value
I buy dot grid journals for studying and hobby journaling. I prefer a dot grid in case I want to draw quick comic panels or I need to break up a space into smaller chunks of information. Since I have tried a lot of brands, here's how this one compares to my favorite cheap brand to buy on Amazon: - The Cover: This journal's cover is made of a flexible and squishy faux leather with hard covers and a soft spine. It feels and acts like it's more premium than my usual journal, however it came with some dents embedded in the cover, probably from something heavy placed over it for too long. Since I plan to paint onto this cover, it's not an ideal situation. But since it's cheap, this is actually less issues than expected. It's common for me to find weird markings and dents on cheap journals, even if I go to a store in-person. - The Pages: This paper is a soft ivory color that's easy on the eyes. There's 160 total pages - 3 for the index, 1 blank page, and 156 numbered pages. What surprises me is when comparing the 120 GSM page (this journal) to a 100 GSM page (usual journal). While this one is slightly more opaque, the amount of ghosting is about the same. My usual tools are a Tombow marker and a gel pen. All marks and colors will show to the other side, but not so strongly that I can't write over it. However, it does bleed through completely if I press a dot into the paper. You will need to press lightly on your markers. I do not recommend this journal for coloring directly onto the paper, you'll want a 160 GSM journal which can handle ink better. However, I think this paper is fine for general writing or for sketching without color. There's not a big enough difference for me to prefer 120 GSM over 100 GSM. -The Construction: It lays flat. I tugged at the pages, elastic, and ribbons, and I am only concerned about the pen loop, so that part should be handled with some care. This book is pretty lightweight for a hardcover, but slightly heavier than my usual. My main issue is with the opening page. With most journals like this, there is a sheet of cardstock over the seams of the cover sheet. The first page is glued directly onto this cardstock in a way that you can't fully open the page, you have to crease it about a half inch from the spine so it opens flat. Usually, I skip or glue down the page completely so I don't have to crease the page to use it. But in this journal, this page is also an index page. It bothers me to have to use this section, but you might find you don't care. It depends how much the extra index page means to you. - Extras: This journal comes with a pen loop, two ribbons, a title page, three dedicated index pages, 156 numbered pages, a pocket in the back cover, some stencils, and a band to hold the book closed. My usual has much fewer extras. I would say this one is definitely a plus for anyone who wants to dive straight into journaling without having to worry about page numbers or index pages. The stencils are nice if you need to repeatedly use symbols. Overall, I feel this journal is a good competitor to my usual brand for general writing or studying. I personally don't find the pages sturdy enough for coloring with markers.

No bleeding, good quality, good features
I try a lot of notebooks, some for sketching, but most often for daily journaling. These are some of the best I've found for notes/journaling. I tried these because of a discussion about bleed-through. The pack of two was handy; I could always give one away if I didn't like one. I tried the following writing devices, in the order I usually use them. 1) Pentel EnerGel Deluxe RTX Retractable Liquid Gel Pen, 0.5mm, Needle Tip, Black Ink, 2) STAEDTLER PIGMENT LINER 0.3mm BLACK INK, 3) Lamy Safari Fountain Pen - Charcoal - Fine, with new black cartridge, and 4) Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen. I expected the first three to do well, but I assumed that the brush pen would bleed. Not so! They all wrote well and did not bleed. If you hold the page up to the light the brush writing has a touch of ghosting, but tolerable for me. The fountain pen was exceptionally smooth. The construction seems very good, lays nearly flat, and has two ribbons for markers. A pocket is placed in the back in the back along with four separators to affix as one chooses. College-ruled provides enough space for writing without being cramped. So: good for writing, good for quality, good for features.

Excellent
Bought as alternative expensive options on the market and I found that these notebooks are excellent value for the money. Paper quality is top-spec and binding is done properly. The hardcover is relatively thicker and rigid compared to expensive options (softcover) on the market. I will consider repeating the purchase in the longer term.

Papel resistente
Muy contenta con la calidad del papel para el precio del pack, buscaba un papel que no traspasase la tinta de pilot y estoy muy contenta con estos cuadernos, los uso también para bocetos y van genial.
