If you can use an umbrella, you can easily use this. The window shields that you have to twist make me nuts because I can NEVER get those back in the original folded shape. You don't have to with this. It works just like an umbrella except it's flat when opened against your windshield & fits corner to corner. Velcro the little tab that helps it fit behind the mirror, adjust the shield if needed & you're done. All quick & easy. It's a great size, keeps my car cool, and hopefully will last thru the season. LITTLE BIT OF AN UPDATE: The spines of the "umbrella" part are a little flimsy.

I honestly didn’t expect to love this as much as I do, but this 2026 Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella is a game changer. Living in Florida, my car turns into an oven, especially during mid-day errands. Since using this, the difference in temperature when I get back in is noticeable right away. I love the umbrella-style design. it’s so much easier than wrestling with those traditional fold-up shades. It opens and closes in seconds, and I can tuck it right into the door pocket when I’m not using it. The foldable design makes it super convenient and not bulky at all. It fits my windshield really well and covers edge to edge. The material feels sturdy and high quality, not flimsy. I’ve also noticed my dashboard and steering wheel aren’t burning hot anymore, which gives me peace of mind about protecting the interior long-term. If you live somewhere sunny or park outside a lot, this is absolutely worth it. Practical, easy to use, and actually effective. Highly recommend!

This is my first umbrella type sun shield. My old aluminum z-fold crumbled into whitish powder and others I had weren’t tall enough to stay under the visors. This is clunky to open as the handle wiggles, I guess to get it out of the way. I find it difficult. The whole mechanism is made of hard plastic so I expect with the intense heat inside a car, it will shatter in a few years. In the meantime, however, it does completely block light out of the front windshield. I have a Subaru sedan, 2013. The umbrella is too big by about 4 inches on the top and sides. However, it is flappy enough to jam that part under the visors and it stays in place. It’s pretty easy to collapse, like an umbrella. I’ve only had it a few weeks.with that in mind, I recommend it if your old shields collapsed into the front seat while you were away. There is a slot cut into the umbrella for your rear view mirror. If you have a handicap card or anything big hanging there, it doesn’t fit and gets knocked off.

Love this shade. I've owned so many from the cheaper folding shades that really never fit, to the circular tent material ones that magically twist back down to a single circle and fit into the little pouch. ..But this shade covers the entire window easily because it's made like an umbrella! Genius! It has the reflection side facing out and the inner side is black. All you do is open it up carefully, as to not knock down your rear view mirror, and position it to your window then you velcro the opening above the mirror. It stays in place easily and really helps keeping my vehicle cooler in our Florida heat! Best shade because it fits SO well and the easy placement and removal. I would definitely purchase this shade again.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit my 2020 Kia Soul S, despite it saying it fits. It’s too big and flimsy. I found it difficult lock into place once in the window. It’s not worth sending back so I will give it to my friend who has a truck. My other friend bought this style of shade and it was so easy to use and was firm in all corners. I will be asking where she order we hers from. This one does come with a nice cover and it was easy to put back in the cover.

Works great but it has to go over the rear view merror my other one got stolen so I got this one. Different than my last one. My sister ordered one to and it don't fit around the merror. We both have suv. It deffently keeps the car cooler from the sun.

Love it! I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado and it fits good enough for me. I love the umbrella frame; it supports the shade, and it's super easy to install and take down. The only negative thing I could say is that I think that plain gray look is so ugly. That's not specific to this shade, they're all like that from what I've seen so I painted mine... just simple polka dots but I think it's cute. Very happy with this shade. Thank you.

Love the concept of easy open and close. Tucks away like an umbrella. REALLY does make a difference in the temperature. Lightweight. My only issue is the handle/stick does not allow the shade to fit snuggly beyond my screen in the middle of my dashboard, therefor the shade does not fit properly under the rear view mirror. The handle needs to be able to bend or something. The sun visors do keep it in place but I'm not getting the full protection of the shade. Will probably send it back due to this one detail alone.
