JOYO Octave Fuzz Guitar Pedal, Germanium-Driven 60's Fuzz Tone with Octave Up & Mid-Cut Switch for Electric Guitar, True Bypass (Voodoo JF-12)

Wow! What a fuzz! The pedal is reaply two fuzzes in one. The base fuzz is mid forward and heavy. Not quite big muff heavy, but more snarly than a fuzz face style fuzz. Then you switch to the octave fuzz and everything gets all wild a wooly. Fuzz is a matter of personal taste and this effect is just right for me. The sounds are versatile and it delivers the crunchy psyched out sound I was looking for. The unit itself seems solidy built. The knobs are quite firm so you don't accidentally change settings when your cable brushes against it. The knobs also affect the sound over their whole sweep. I've only been playing it a week, but it has been functioning quietly and well on a 9v daisy chained power supply. I love this fuzz. It beat out fuzzes three or more times the price for a place on my board. For the price, definitely pick one up and see if it's for you.

I don’t have much experience with fuzz or octave pedals but I am greatly enjoying this pedal, especially for the low price. You can get quite a lot of different sounds out of this one pedal. I found some nice Black Sabbathesque tones. The tone knob can get you from dark, muddy fuzz up to bright and biting fuzz tones. The mid-scoop switch adds even more possibilities. The octave up is a cool bonus feature, but it could stand alone as a nice fuzz pedal even without it. Like all Joyo pedals, it seems to be pretty durable construction and good quality. I put it at the very front of my effects chain.

I really like this fuzz pedal. It sounds great, has some really good tones, and is easy to adjust. The scooped mid switch is awesome, too. But the pedal is noisy. The hiss is real. I wondered if there was something wrong with my cables, or any of the other pedals I use. All of the pedals I use introduce some noise, but it's really quite aggressive on this joyo fuzz pedal. I feel the need to mention the plastic housing. Yes, it's plastic. But you would probably be surprised if you really stood back and took stock of what plastics do every day. You would have to abuse this to break it. It's made of solid, modern plastic. The plastic in this pedal is going to be around LONG after you are. The pedal sounds great, and I can overcome some of the noise with a noise gate. But you should be aware that there is a good bit of noise coming from this pedal. That said, I would still buy it again, and this is a great option if you don't have the money to spend on a Boss or other more expensive option

It has a decent fuzz that sounds pretty good live and in recordings, but the octave leaves a lot to be desired. It’s more like a hint of octave. No matter how I tweaked it I couldn’t get that Hendrix/Satriani lead snarl I was looking for. Granted they used multiple pedals in their rigs, I was looking for a one pedal solution. I later got an Orange Fur Coat that I’d rate 100/5 and completely obliterates this pedal. I ended up just giving it to a friend whose kid is learning guitar.

I’m blown away by this fuzz pedal. There’s nothing cheap about it. It sounds amazing. There’s no need to mod it if you want a thicker sound - instead, I recommend using a parametric eq. I’m using it with the Boss GE-7 eq and the Ibanez Pentatone parametric eq, which far out-classes any mod I’ve heard online, and does it non-invasively.

The output volume is incredibly low. Boosting the pedal via clean boost doesn't really seem to fix the core issue that the tone is just not there. If it was louder and a bit more full bodied perhaps it'd be useable. Better to spend the money and get a Super Fuzz or an FU-2. I'll just end up gutting it and modding it. Worthless as is.

This is basically a clone of the old Foxx Tone Machine. It's a great pedal if you do the capacitor swap mod. It seems the company got 2 of the capacitors in the wrong places after copying a schematic, and they never bothered to fix the problem. This results in a thinner sounding pedal. Some people like that sound, and that's ok. However, swapping those 2 caps isn't too difficult if you're handy with a (low wattage) soldering iron, and it will fatten up the tone considerably.

I've always wanted a fuzz pedal and I bought this one after seeing Josh on JHS Pedals mention it was a good fuzz pedal for the value. Boy was he spot on! This thing is terrific even without the octave button but omg when you hit that octave button you can make some awesome tones. The mid-cut switch is okay if you like that sort of tone or have use for it but it's not a useful feature for me. Y.M.M.V. I have it wired after a metal distortion pedal and they sound killer together or even when I just run it after my overdrive pedal which has what my brother calls a "dog's snarl" tone to it. And I'm playing through PAF humbuckers. I give this pedal 5 out of 5 stars.

Als reines Fuzz nur bedingt brauchbar - da gibt es klar Besseres. Zusammen mit dem verbauten Octaver aber gar nicht schlecht. Man muss nur ggf. sehr viel Zeit in das Einstellen des eigenen Gesamt-Setups (Gitarre, Pickups, weitere Pedale, Vor- und Endstufe, Cab) investieren, bis dieses Pedal darin gut klingt. Und falls man nicht damit klarkommt, gibt es immer auch die Möglichkeit, das Pedal zu modden, da es für das Joyo Octave Fuzz einige gute Tutorials gibt. Die Garantie verfällt dann aber natürlich. ;)

Ótimo produto. É importante enfatizar que é comum pedal fuzz apresentar mais ruído do que overdrive e até do que muitos distortions. O fuzz trabalha com clipping muito agressivo, muito ganho e bastante conteúdo de altas frequências, o que tende a evidenciar o chiado (não é defeito).
