JENOLITE Directorust Satin Black Spray Paint 2 x 500ml RAL 9005

I couldn't find Hammerite paint in a charcoal colour and took a punt on this. To be honest, it was a bit of a punt, but the results are great! I restored an old metal parasol base and sprayed it with Jenolite and it looks really nice. Good coverage, easy to apply, dries quickly and people comment about how nice it looks!

I used the JENOLITE Directorust Spray Paint Satin Finish on our rusted heater and I’m really impressed with the results. It covered the rust really well and gave a smooth, even satin finish that looks much better than before. Application was straightforward and the coverage was great — didn’t need too many coats to get a solid result. It also dried nicely without any patchiness. Overall, a great product that does exactly what it says. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with rust!

I have bought this product before with no complaints. However this time using it to touch up the same garden chairs, whilst spraying, the painting was dripping a lot so have little bubble marks. Presume a bad batch? I did shake it really well. Other than that the colour is perfect with a good coverage.

I bought the product to treat car parts which i wanted to rust proof and refresh the look. The spray went on smoothly and gave a factory like finish. I'm more than happy with the results.

I used this spray paint for a couple of outdoor jobs, one on old cast metal table bases, and another on untreated fencing and gates in the garden. Application was straightforward and user-friendly. It only took two coats to achieve a solid, even coverage, and the paint went further than expected, so it offers good value for money in terms of surface area covered. The finish is smooth and consistent, even on more complex surfaces. I didn’t experience any dripping issues, even in areas where I accidentally applied a bit too much, it seemed to level out nicely. One thing to note: it adheres very well, so it’s worth taking a bit of time to protect surrounding areas before spraying. Overspray would likely be difficult to remove. So far, the durability has been impressive. It’s held up well through typical northern English weather across the seasons without any obvious wear. Overall, a reliable, easy-to-use spray paint with a good finish, I’ve used it again since on other jobs in different colours 👍

This paint worked well on upcycling a rusted metal peacock wall feature which I was going to send to the tidy tip. I was a little worried about the colour when ordering as the colours on screen can be misleading. I was very happy with the outcome as the colour is very vibrant and just what I wanted. I sanded everything down as there were some areas of rust. I wore some safety goggles and a mask so as not to breathe in any fumes and also a rubber disposable glove on my spraying hand as when spraying there was a slight residueu left on my index finger from the nozzle. Shake the can briskly before spraying. The paint sprayed well, it is advisable to do a number of light coats. Remember to turn the can upside down when you finish spraying each coat (for 30 to 40 seconds) to ensure the nozzle doesn't get blocked. Overall i'm very pleased with the outcome.

This stuff is the real deal. It went on smoothly, dried quickly, and did not leave a heavy buildup after 4 light coats. The final result is very very smooth and nice. This is the nicest paint I've used, and such a huge bonus that it's both a primer and a rust inhibitor at the same time. I'd give this 10 stars if I could!

Easy to use but doesn’t give a satin finish. After a while it gives water-liked blisters that stayed after drying. Wouldn’t buy again

Devo dire che non mi aspettavo miracoli, ma questa vernice mi ha davvero stupito in positivo. Ho acquistato questo spray un po’ alla cieca, spinto dalle buone recensioni e dalla promessa di essere “multisuperficie”. Dovevo sistemare il vecchio cancello in ferro battuto del giardino, che negli ultimi anni era diventato più ruggine che metallo. Dopo una passata di carta abrasiva (nemmeno troppo profonda, per pigrizia, lo ammetto), ho dato una prima mano con questa bomboletta e… wow. Si è stesa benissimo, non ha colato (cosa che mi capita spesso con altri spray), e già dalla prima applicazione la differenza era notevole. Il colore Grigio Antracite è molto elegante, moderno ma non troppo freddo. Sta benissimo con la pietra naturale del mio vialetto — sembra quasi che abbia fatto rifare l’intero ingresso. Dopo 24 ore ho dato una seconda mano per sicurezza, ed è venuto fuori un effetto satinato omogeneo, senza aloni né zone opache. L’ho usata anche per ritoccare il telaio in metallo della ringhiera del terrazzo e persino su un vecchio vaso in ceramica che avevo intenzione di buttare… ed è venuto fuori così bene che adesso lo tengo come pezzo “industrial chic” sotto al portico! 😄 Unico consiglio: usatela in un posto ben ventilato e, se potete, con una mascherina — l’odore è un po’ forte all’inizio, ma niente di insopportabile.

l'uso è difficile...a tratti tende a staccarsi...questa sono tre bombolette e non andrò oltre..non costano poco..

Je n'ai aucune compétence en peinture, j'ai refait ma table de cuisine en bois 40*60 sans trop me casser la tête et sans technique particulière (traduction : un peu à l'arrache) : j'ai juste utilisé un morceau de carton en faisant le tour pour éviter d'en mettre partout. Résultat : nickel, la peinture rattrape les petites erreurs, les éventuelles accumulations se résorbent d'elles-mêmes (qualité du mélange) et au pire vous pourrez utiliser un chiffon pour étaler ou votre doigt (il faudra donc aller laver vos mains ce qui se fait facilement avec le côté vert de l'éponge et sans besoin de s'arracher la peau). J'ai laissé séché une nuit et je vais quand même appliquer une cire de protection parce que c'est pour la cuisine. Quantité : j'ai donc refait une table en bois 80*40 qui était déjà blanche à la base (rafraichissement du plateau uniquement) + j'ai refait le plateau d'un tabouret (rafraichissement également) et pour finir la bombe, je l'ai utilisée pour décorer des sacs en kraft avec des pochoirs (avec de très légères pressions car là les accumulations se font très rapidement). Odeur/ventilation : ça pue grave (c'est de la peinture) mais l'odeur ne reste pas trois jours, juste une nuit. Il y a quand même une fine poudre qui va se dégager lors de l'application, donc si comme moi vous faites ça à l'intérieur : fenêtre ouverte, ventilo, et idéalement : masque. Après utilisation : vérification des surfaces avec le doigt pour voir s'il y a eu projection et au besoin : petit coup de brosse, petit coup de chiffon. Peut-être un peu chère mais bon la qualité est là, la simplicité d'utilisation et le résultat surtout. Je recommande !
