It does sharpen your knife however not the most ergonomic. Placing a wet rug while you use it may come in handy. I wish there was finer grain available on it too. However It is all is offset by its cheap price. You want a cheap knife sharpener that does what it says. You go for it. However not the most comfortable.

I bought it as someone recommended for sharpening my dull knives rather than paying everytime to get them sharpened. And I was amazed. It's a wonderful product sharpened the knives blades and made them cut as if they were new. Plus it's so cheap, saves you so much money as compared to buying new knives or getting them sharpened every two months. Even my husband used it for sharpening his pocket knife and it worked wonders on that too. Recommend it highly

Value for money

Received safely with 4 layer packing. Shows how much they value their product and customer satisfaction. I was using a carborundum whetstone earlier. It was 160 or so grit and purchased locally @ ₹ 200 (MRP ₹ 230/-). I could see other offers of whetstones (same size) with combination #100 - 320 grit (low to medium low). But this combination whetstone has #240 - 800 grit (medium to low fine) which is a steal at about the same price! Use stdictly as suggested by the manufacturers for years of endurance. I believe it could be used for scissors too. And one more thing, I believe you can't sharpen to original level a blunt STAINLESS STEEL knife/scissors as they have special coating in manufacturing (your experience please). For steel/ironknifes and tools it is working wonderfully.

Product is good and very creatively merged the coarse as well as the fine grinding stones together for different sharpening - very effective for domestic use. 1. The coarse grains side is wearing off rather easily. May be this needs a re-looking into. 2. Also to promote for domestic use, DIY guide for usage of the stone should be inserted along or atleast a tutoring weblink, otherwise it is very effective none like the ones that I tried before.

This review I am posting around 2-3 yrs or more than that..... This knife sharpener is playing key role in our kitchen for past so many years. It is working absolutely perfect for any kind of knife.
