The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the packaging and instructions were all in chinese! I didn't really need the instructions, but still it would have been nice to have if I needed them. Also, I had a little bit of difficulty getting in the batteries because the little plastic flap that you press to open the battery cartridge was so stiff that I thought I was going to break it. but I had to press it extremely hard (almost to the point that you think its gonna break) in order to open it and close it back. But nonetheless, the pencil sharpener worked well. For the price, I think it will be great.

Researched pencil sharpeners til I was weary and somewhat skeptical. How does one know for sure that reviews are genuine? Don't know. Refused to pay high dollar for a pencil sharpener . . just wanted one which would sharpen my COLORED PENCILS. I have lots of inexpensive ones and splurged on a set of Scholar Prismacolor. Just like to color and have always marked up my books for emphasis. Very pleased with this purchase. Learned quickly if I held the pencil in the sharpener too long, it would make an extreme point which promptly fell out when used. Medium to regular sharp point works for me. It is easy to empty the shavings . . was inexpensive, a good size for my desk and has 4 little pads on the bottom so it won't slide around. So, what's not to like?

Easy product to use, works well. I bought it for my new Prismacolor Colored Pencils, and though I worried that the soft lead would cause a problem, so far it's been fine. I have noticed, though, that it doesn't necessarily work right away. Sometimes I have to stick the pencil in over and over to get it to respond. Kind of frustrating. Also wish it came with batteries. But it will work for what I need.

Pencil sharpener was great. However did not like the fact that EVERYTHING was written in Chinese and I didn't know what batteries to get or how to put them in. I figured it out obviously, but I liked in America not China and was very annoyed that the only English on the box was pencil sharpener. Even the inset was all Chinese.

Totally Chinese instructions. Takes 4 AA batteries, but had to figure that part out; at first it actually looked like I would need two 9 volt ones. Nice that it comes with two replacement blades. But it's very weak and tricky...the pencil has to be held just right to get the right tip. I'll keep it, though.

The pencil sharpener was suppose to be heavy duty. It is the worse. I bought it last year and it worked well for a couple months then became so dull that it had to be discarded. It had a replacement blade so that if the sharpener dulled over time it can be changed. There is no way of changing the blade. You would literally have to take the whole thing apart, which would be counterproductive to its claim. Stay clear of this junk!

This cracked me up. It is a small plastic pencil sharpener just going around in a circle. One of those plastic ones that comes with a pencil. I hooted when I seen that. It does work great though. 4 stars because I am a bit concerned on how long this will actually sharpen since those plastic sharpeners never last.

The sharpener got here on time...for that I will give the company five stars. However, when it comes to my very expensive Prismacolor colored pencils, this sharpener has destroyed them! I use my pencils every day, and my sharpener worked GREAT for about the first week. Now it is only sharpening the pencil halfway and then it stops sharpening. The blade will continue to rotate however it ceases to sharpen. It is so frustrating!!! And all this company cares about is the purchaser commenting on whether or not the sharpener arrived on time - NOT the QUALITY of the sharpener. If you are an artist who invests your craft then I suggest you do not purchase this sharpener. I am sorry to say that, but it is true.
