Gator Cases Deluxe ABS Molded Guitar Case for Electric Bass Guitars (GC-BASS)

This is a very nice and solid case. My Fender Squier 60s Classic Vibe Jazz Bass fits very snugly. The strap horns push into the lining a bit, but it's not an issue and the bass won't slide around inside. It is wider than cheaper standard cases and a bit taller, so keep that in mind if you have a smaller vehicle to transport.

I have two basses, a G&L LB-100 (P-style bass) and a Sire Marcus Miller V3P. The P-bass fit is great. Not a super tight fit by any means, but small enough amount of slack that I'm not concerned about it. The neck rests nicely and evenly in the cradle with the bottom of the body fully in contact with the bottom of its chamber which I appreciate. The Sire V3P is an offset bodied, J-style bass and unfortunately will not fit whatsoever. The bass side lower bout is much too wide, and the strap stud on the bass side horn is just a little too long. I can't fault Gator for this because they can't control the sizes of bodies that guitar manufacturers use, but if you're in the market for a case for a Sire Marcus Miller "V" series bass, just be aware. Thankfully, the Sire is more of a studio queen for me and I bought this case specifically for the P-style bass, so I'll definitely keep it, but I was hoping (given the other reviews that said it worked for a Jazz bass) that maybe it could pull double duty if I needed to carry the Sire. I'll just have to continue using the gig bag for the Sire.

Im a fender guy,,, making buying aftermarket stuff easy.... I have a usa fender jazz bass with factory hardcase.. cant beat thiat. Like a glove... when I decided to build a fender pbass I needed a case for it... ive only seen gator rack cases and knew they were light and durable.. so I saw this,,, price was nice at 109$.. had an amazon gift card for 75 I got for xmas, so no brainer... needless to say,,, this case is beautiful..... no its not a fender case. But its damn good.... anyone who knows fender basses knows a fender pbass has a smaller body than the jazz,,, but a wider neck... and vise versa for the jazz... the pbass fits awsome,, its got a touch of play around the body,, but its secure and looks awsome sitting in this gorgeous case.... I put my jazz bass in just for s***s and giggles and its right at home on the body.. does not move at all.. but with a naarrower neck has a little play but nothing to even worry about.... this case is designed for the fender p/j bass and will fit either extremely well... lots of storage as well. Black velour interior is great.... I would buy this again if I needed to... well built

This is a well-built case that will probably fit almost any bass as long as it's not an unusual shape or size. I bought it for an ESP LTD B-5E 5-string. I was worried that it would be too small, but on the contrary, there is actually a little bit (maybe an inch or two) of extra space in there. I will probably be adding some custom-cut foam (or if I'm lazy, just a rolled-up old t-shirt) to keep the bass from sliding around inside the case, although for light duty like going to rehearsals and local gigs, it's probably fine as it is. The interior is a nice, soft plush material, and the neck support area is tapered so that just about any neck should rest comfortably in it. There are storage areas on either side of the neck support. Neither of them have lids and, as some others have mentioned, neither of them is wide enough to fit a package of strings. But they fit your strap and other smaller accessories nicely. Given the excellent price, I am prepared to accept a few minor shortcomings like the size and lack of lids for the storage areas. This isn't the "perfect" case, and it's not for heavy-duty touring. But for light-to-medium duty, it will protect your axe well, and that's all I ask.

This is a good, well-made case. It seems to be pretty tough and also lightweight. I'm not sure I'd trust it in the hold of an airliner, but it is perfect for storage at home and taking to gigs and jams. It is about 1" thicker than a typical wood/tolex case, though, and my bass fits a tiny bit loose inside. Not a big deal, since I can take up the internal space with a cloth. The other thing - and why I only give it four stars - is that the fit is not QUITE right for a Fender Jazz bass. The strap button on the upper bout digs into the padding. That will probably just wear in over time, but I just swapped cases with my Ibanez fretless, which does fit, so there is no problem.

This Gator case is nice and sturdy. My 5-string bass fits nice and comfortably inside. My one complaint would be that the compartment for accessories is too compact for my gear. With an EQ pedal, guitar strap and the cables (One being 3ft and the other being 15ft) it's pretty cluttered if you don't have a bag for your gear. All in all, it's a fantastic product and well worth the money for secure instrument travel.

I bought this case for my Spector Legend and I am happy with the build quality and the latches. I bought this with amazon prime and skipped the shipping after I saw this case new in a local store for around $90.00. I own the similar priced SKB case already and the Gator is very similar in build quality. I found that the case also fits my Schecter 5 string and even my Squier 70's jazz bass, (barely) so it will serve me well. I keep each of my basses in a case regularly and I may buy another Gator for the Squier since I dislike gig bags in general. The inside of the case is not as plush as other cases, but for the price, this case seems to be top notch and should last a long time. I have a friend who has had one for more than 5 years and although it's pretty beat up, it is still holding up. Comparing this case to the universal skb case, they both seem to be very similar and the latches both seem to be very strong. The inner linings are both plush but no overdone. For the price, this case beats the wood cases, as many of them seem to crack and come apart after awhile, (ie. Road Runner, which I saw cracked with wood showing in the store.) The case seems to be strong and the plastic exterior flexes a bit most likely to cushion any impact. all in all, this is a good buy.

I am pleased to report that this case fits my new Sire 5-string Marcus Miller V5 bass very well. The case is solidly built and should withstand a fair amount of abuse without any damage to its content. There are four latches on the case, one of which is lockable. This was a very good purchase that I am quite confident will protect my bass very well for the next few years.
