The RK-1 is a functional and biomechanical brace that corrects issues causing IT Band Syndrome. The dual density pad anchors the spiral strap below the knee, which reduces interior rotation of the lower leg. Resin stays increase proprioception to keep the leg in a neutral position while ROM-Tech butterfly shape pattern on the backside of the brace assists in knee flexion and extension. The a-Fit technology allows an anatomically correct fit. While Flyweight design provides an ultra-thin, lightweight material for comfort. V-Tech flow through design allows ventilation while in motion. Ideal for IT Band Syndrome also known as Runner's Knee. This condition is usually felt on the outside of the knee during activities. Most commonly seen among runners, cyclists, and hikers. The RK-1 design focuses on the condition at hand and is a unique option to deal biomechanically with IT-Band syndrome. This product is right and left specific.

Either this brace was an amazing miracle, or I spontaneously healed
Either this brace was an amazing miracle, or I spontaneously healed. I had been suffering from ITBS for several months and was worried that I was going to need to cancel an upcoming marathon. I ordered this brace to give it a try. My first run in the brace, I had only minor pain (and had to make minor adjustments to the brace before I learned how to put it on correctly). The second run, I had no paid. I ran in the brace a couple of more times, and then tried to run without it. No pain!! I am still running brace free and pain free. This was, hands down the best purchase I've made. If you are suffering from ITBS, there is no reason not to try this brace.

Good Support - Wish They Had A Bigger Size Than Current XL
I like these knee supports and they really helped during training for a marathon. My only complaint is they run small. I ordered XL's and they feel almost too tight. I get they're for support but another size up would be nice. And I'm 6'3" and 185 dripping wet - not exactly stocky. I'm not sure if they were causing me calf cramps after mile 18 in a couple of marathons or not. But I have my suspicions. So, good to train when your ITB is giving you grief or your need to build up strength but not lose miles. Just be sure you go on a few long runs in them before the big events.

Best Knee Brace for Running and Cycling
I use this knee brace for both cycling and running. It appears that this model is being replaced by something new, a version where the knee is exposed. I assume there is a reason for the change, but I am trying to get as many of these as I can before they are no longer available. I wear a small (5 3", 112 lbs). Nine times out of 10 I wash it in the sink and let it air dry, but I do occasionally put it in the washer and dryer. I think it helps to keep it from stretching out too much. I have had one for 4 years and it is still holding up.

Love this brace! Saved my running goals!
Love this knee brace! Thought I wouldn’t be able to run again from chronic knee pain that came on after hip flexor injury. I couldn’t get past a half mile or mile and pain would come on. This brace instantly allowed me to run several miles again and recently ran a 7 mile race. So happy I found this!

Do NOT ignore size limits
I have friends who swear by this brace. I ordered the largest size they had which I knew was going to be a little too small. Because I don’t have skinny legs it is pretty uncomfortable because I did not listen to the size range guide. I do wear it, but I don’t feel that it gives me almost $50 worth of support. Part of that maybe just from me not Ordering the appropriate size.

A Life saver
Just recently started having pain on the outer side of my knee from running. I love this because it really supports and I am able to run without it bunching up or falling down. Great brace!

Amazing
Dude... I cannot say enough about this brace! My ITS after a run was so bad, I could barely walk. I tried the brace, and on my first run, there was slight pain, but it was very manageable compared to what the pain usually was. From the 2nd time I used it until this day, I have been pain free. This brace has saved my running career!

This brace is AMAZING! The first time I wore it
This brace is AMAZING! The first time I wore it, my knee hurt but it was tolerable. The second use, not an ounce of knee pain!! I have struggled, even stopped running becasue of my IT Band knee pain. It's supportive, comfortable, and non-restricting. LOVE LOVE LOVE no knee pain!!!

This is helping
This works wonder, I’m able to run properly for longer thanks to that brace. That being said it will not replace the work that need to be done on the side, streching and strength work can greatly help with IT band syndrome. So don’t use it as a magic wand!

Perfect ITB rehab helper
Used to help getting back to running, it won’t do miracle and you’ll have to put the work into rehab obviously but this is a great help
