Tappan 6" Range Cooktop Stove Replacement Surface Burner Heating Element 318372210

Years ago one burner on my very old (about 50 years old) range quit working, and sometime after that I asked a handyman if he could fix it. He informed me that there was no way to fix it. Recently while I was looking for something else, I found this replacement burner here on Amazon, and I was also able to find the booklet that came with my built-in range when it was new. I made a note of the model number and found that this burner is the correct one. It didn't require any tools or any super-human strength to replace the old burner. Voila! It works, and now I have another burner I can use.

My Tappan range now is back to normal and the pans now sit level on the element again, not like with the elements I have bought from the hardware stores not noting Tappan on the packaging. This was a good purchase. It came on time, too.

Does what a surface element should do everything works perfect great product. Just match up part number for compatibility to appliance and you should do great as I have done.

I had checked on Amazon a few months back and had only found one burner for three times this price, and I wasn't sure it would fit. So I called the appliance repair and they couldn't find an exact match. I was suppose to bring in an old burner and then special order and it too was going to be very expensive. So I never got around to it. Then, probably because I cook everything on high, my third burner went, and I was down to just one.Then I found these. They are inexpensive, I got free shipping, they arrived in less than a week and they work. One thing: Take off the white sticky in the center of the burner. I thought it was a decoration, but it actually lights on fire.

Wow! What a difference, it's like having a new stove. Now I'll need to replace the other 3. My old burner didn't work until you turned it up to high. I can fry on medium again. They fit my Tappan stove, but I replaced my old drip pans before replacing the burner.
