Can i use the reader with a normal usb connector as my laptop does not have usb c

I don't know for sure. Probably you CAN 'use' it, but I don't think you'd get any of the speed advantages of the CFExpress card.. You can buy (very cheaply) a USB c connector to try - it'll only cost you a couple of bucks (or borrow one).

Just wondering if this would work in a canon 1dx mark i? i can't work out if it will only work in mark ii.

Only if the Fuji camera will connect with this card. They are not camera specific, but I only use Nikon cameras and so have never had to deal with this questi9n.

Whilst there may be some cfExpress type B readers that do indeed read XQD cards, My SanDisk cfExpress type B Reader does not read the Lexar XQD cards so the answer is a FIRM NO. Excellent Card for Canon R6 Mark iii

I got this Sandisk card with my Canon R6 iii at the start of the year and have been using it for various kinds of photography and videography, including open-gate 7k footage. I've haven't had any problems with this CF Express memory card, nor the SanDisk SD card that I bought for the second card slot on the camera. This card has coped with the heaviest demands of the R6 iii, and I expect I'll be buying more of these in the future.

Very reliable, and keeps your data intact!

Wouldn't buy any other brand, this is my second card of this type and it has saved me from data loss on more than one occasion due to submersion and impact damage. I have no doubt other cards would have become corrupted under the same conditions. Highly recommend as a hard wearing reliable storage solution. Data write speeds are excellent, and works exactly as described!

Memory card gets unusually hot

I noticed that this memory card tends to overheat when used with different devices, both inside cameras and in card readers. I have never experienced this issue with other memory card models.
