Does this have the same build quality & maximum resistance level as the Classic? It seems like a much lower price for just the few things mentioned.

I returned mine. The quality was just not what I expected from the brand and for that price.

Is this similar to the old Bullworker X5?

It appears to be the same as the old one from the 80’s in style and function.

Does the Basic have the same warranty as the Classic?

It should have the same warranty. I never bothered to worry because my collection of Bullworkers are still going strong. What this model doesn't have is the inter-changeable springs.

so what is the benefit to this versus Iso7?

ISO 7X was recalled for dangerous quality issues and is being dumped.
