First let me start by saying I have 2a/2b, very thin, bright purple hair. I have tried several different curly hair systems, and I have to say this is the BEST I've ever used. I started using the shampoo and conditioner, curl cream, and gel. The shampoo cleans my hair beautifully without stripping my color. I have not felt for the need to use a clarifying shampoo since I started with this brand. Yet it leaves my hair soft and manageable even without the conditioner. It smells nice but not strong. Oh and it dies not have a lot of sudsing so be careful the first time you use it. You will be tempted to use 3x the amount you need. Just make sure you hair is soaking wet and put a quarter size (for my thin hair) to you scalp and you will amazed at how it will clean your hair. The condition is so great! It gives great slip in the shower but does not leave a film or make my thin hair greasy. Nor does it weigh it down at all. I use a bit more than a quarter size and it is plenty. It rinses out so beautifully but still gives me that slip I am looking for while I scrunch my hair in the shower. So because my hair is so thin, I usually cannot use curl creams or at least not too much. It will weigh down my hair. But not this one. It actually helps tighten and curl my curls. No other curl cream has done that for me...ever! Before using this entire system my hair was more close to 1c/2a. Yes you read that right. Not anymore. My hair is so curly. I had no idea it could get that curly. Wow. All my friends have noticed, my husband, and even my kids. I love my hair now! Oh and somehow these products make my hair thicker. I have a scrunchy I use. Usually it goes around my hair 3 times to keep it up. Now with these products, at the end if the day when I put my hair up it goes around 2x. That's not to say I couldn't go a 3rd, but I don't need to now to make it stay. So cool! And my hair looks fuller and thicker as well. Oh. I need to mention the crunch. None to very little. I have put this to the test and used a LOT for my hair and still very little crunch. Only beautifully SOFT, touchable curls. Once my hair is dry, (I blow dry about 50% dry & air dry the rest on most days) I shake it out a bit and fluff the roots a bit and it just look beautiful. I go 4 days between washings and it looks good for all 4 days. Humidity test. I live in southern Cald and it is summer right now. My hair has not frizzed out at all. Last summer I wore ponytails a lot because of the frizz. I LOVE this stuff! I am sure you can tell my enthusiasm for this shampoo, conditioner, curl cream, and gel. GET IT! It's worth it, especially if you have my hair. I originally bought a travel set as a trail of this product and now I am sold and this is my curly hair product. Anyone need a brand new bottle of Cantu shampoo and conditioner? I will never go back

I love this product for my curly hair, it can be used for air dry or hair dryer with diffuser. It is lightweight and doesn't leave my hair crunchy. Best price for the product. Moisturizing and fragrance is light and not so overpowering.

I liked this product. The smell was delicate and neutral enough for my preferences. It looked natural and very touchable. My curls lasted until the next day, and even on the third day they became gorgeous, uniform waves thanks to the very light hold. (That's never happened, and was lovely!) The only problem was that because my hair is so long (down to my bottom) I need to put it up in a bun at night to sleep, or if I'm doing something and need it out of the way. Though the ever-so-slight stickiness of the hold isn't very noticeable at first, what was apparent was that when letting my hair down again, the tendrils stuck (folded in half with the ends still up around my shoulders) and began knotting themselves incredibly because they weren't free to fall all the way down (instead, sticking to other parts of my hair, and adhering, so that finger combing, or actually brushing just pulled it out and tangled it more severely). My hair even tangled throughout the day just from it falling forward and back in gentle daily movements. And because the stickiness seemed to worsen with time, trying to brush it out before washing it was horrendous. This would probably be great for shorter, less curly hair, or someone who washes their hair daily. But for super long, curly hair (fine, but very thick), the gorgeous hold proved to be akin to my curls getting caught in briars and tangled so thoroughly all over my entire head it was just a nightmare. (Trying to prevent that is why super long haired people tie it up at night!) I had to just wet my tangled mess of hair in the shower to get the sticky product out, then wait for it to dry to begin the hours-long detangling. This product is not good for long, fine, super-thick curls.

This product provides great curls and low frizz for 3-4 days. A little goes a long way. Will continue to buy in the future

Daughter and I love this curl cream. It allows the hair to be soft yet maintain its curly waves. Its a thick, heavy cream, so use in small amounts for thin and short hair. But if you have thick and wavy hair, lather it up and stick it in a hair towel, leave for 5 minutes, light dry with a diffuser and enjoy the curls for the day.

Just an okay cream for me. No strong smell (a bit “grandma-y”). Did the job, but I prefer others more. Not a lot of product! Very small tube. No crunch or stickiness but no hold either. Not drying or particularly hydrating.

I absolutely love this curl cream, and I'm so glad I found it! I looked on the EWG website to search for the cleanest, safest, non-toxic product, which is how I found this one. I decided to try it and am thrilled with the results. The safest product to use that is also super effective and makes my hair look curly and gorgeous? Win win!!! It doesn't make my hair crunchy and really keeps the curls. I like to pair it with a bit of the gel after first applying the curl cream, and my curls stay springy all day. I'm a total fan.

This is probably the best one I've tried out of all of them. I was expecting some form of stiffness in my curls after putting this through my hair -- but nope.. it stayed touchable and curly without being frizzy. I can see I'll be looking for other items they might have for wavy-haired folks like me.

I love this. I have curly hair which I get permed once a year for control. This product does not contain bad ingredients and it is not tested on animals. My hair turns into soft, shiny curls. I do believe it would also be good for wavy hair. Excellent product.

Was struggling to find the right products for my recently permed hair and found that this plus a leave-in conditioner were the perfect pair! It didn't leave my hair super crunchy like mousse or gels and left it really soft to the touch even after applying. It does make your hair have quite a lot of volume and curled up tighter then even when i first got my perm. I really like this product but just know that a little bit goes a long way, I typically use maybe a dime sized amount and it is enough for my Medium length hair.

Works well, I have short hair and have left it in for two days, hair was not stiff or tangled. Really great if you do or don't wash your hair daily.

I LOVE this hair cream. I have fine, thin very wavy hair. This is the BEST hair cream I have ever tried. It enhances my waves very much. I have used DevaCurl Wave Maker for years and have been looking for another option as it's very expensive and all the talk about it not being good for your hair. This stuff supersedes even DevaCurl's hair cream! It's a little thicker and a little stickier (but don't worry - your hair does not end up crunchy or sticky!). I'm also prone to knots and this does not knot my hair either! Love it. I fully recommend this to my wavy or light curly girls with fine hair.
