Hi, can you please tell me how much this kennel weighs?

We have the Giant Kennel (65+ lb dog). The Giant Kennel weighs approximately 40 lbs and takes up a bunch of space but if you need a kennel for a larger dog, this works really well and holds up great.

Are the 4 bolts enough for flying my pets on a plane?

It actually comes with way more than 4 bolts. I have used this kennel 3 times to fly a dog with no problems!

Are the fasteners plastic or metal? The airline we're using requires all metal fasteners.

Is it sturdy? I have a do who is an escape artist and breaks out of wire crates.

The size I bought is slightly smaller than the 36" and I have Tibetan Spaniels. They haven't been aggressive with it, so it's been fine for them. Vari-Kennels were always good for my German Shepherds. If you have only used wire crates, you may find that the more enclosed plastic crate have a more calming den-like quality that helps settle your dog. Suggestion: when you get the plastic crate, leave the door open for a day or two and throw in a favorite treat a few times a day to make your dog more comfortable with being in it before being locked in it.
