What voltage should i see if i test on the output for a lifepo4 charging profile (black signal wire to the +)? shouldnt it be 14.6?

Can i use the d250se to charge a 24ah lifepo4 battery?

Our D250SE is designed for all types of 12V lead-acid batteries (WET, EFB, Ca/Ca, MF, AGM and GEL) and 12V (4cells) Lithium-ion batteries (Li-FePO4, Li-Fe, Li-iron, LFP) between 40-300Ah.

Is the housing weather proof? Can I mount this under the hood or do I need to wire it into the cabin?

The D250SE is IP65 rated (splash and dustproof). It is not waterproof and must be protected from the elements. The D250SE should be mounted with in 6 feet of your service batter/battery bank. This charger requires both a starter battery and service battery.

Go with a better charger

I've already tossed this and went with a much better charger. This thing is outdated. The solar controller can't handle modern solar panels with any real open voltage and the charging output is low, and unpredictable.
