Gochujang Korean Hot Pepper Paste 500g

Second time of buying this, the whole family really enjoy the flavour. Have used it mainly for cooking pulled pork and for marinading chicken which I then use in stir fries. Mixed with honey it really brings a zing to roast vegetables too. Next on the agenda is to try it in a pasta sauce. It is a very thick paste but is easy to thin with either water, honey or soy sauce and has a delicious sweet, spicy and very moorish flavour. Once opened it keeps in the fridge very well. A very versatile product that has so many uses and I am so glad I tried it. Wouldn't be without now. Quick delivery and a good price. Highly recommend.

This Sempio Korean Chili Paste has quickly become a staple in my kitchen! The flavor profile is absolutely spot-on—it’s a harmonious blend of sweetness, savoriness, and just the right level of spice. It’s versatile enough to enhance a variety of dishes, but I especially love using it for making authentic-tasting tteokbokki. The texture is smooth and easy to work with, and a little goes a long way, which makes the 1.1lb tub last quite a while. I also appreciate that it’s vegan, so it’s a great option for different dietary preferences. If you’re looking to elevate your Korean cooking or experiment with bold, delicious flavors, this chili paste is a must-try. I can’t imagine my pantry without it now!

The perfect balance of heat, sweetness, and deep umami flavor makes it a staple in my kitchen. The texture is smooth and rich, making it easy to mix into sauces or spread onto dishes. The 1.1lb size is great—not too big, not too small—just right for regular use without taking up too much space. If you love Korean cooking or just want to add a delicious kick of flavor to your dishes, this is the gochujang to get! Highly recommend!

First time ever that I bought Gochujang paste, and I am delighted with this product. I needed it for a Korean noodle recipe. Delicious! This paste is spicy but not too hot and has a very lovely savory and sweet taste, but not too sweet and not too salty. I have been using it with lots of other food now, including with cheddar and gouda cheese on fresh bread. Yummeeeh! The reason why I only give 4 stars: the packaging was not ideal and the plastic lid was cracked during transport. Fortunately the plastic had not completely pierced the tin foil cover, I was happy with the safety of the product (no contamination) and I did not feel the need to send it back to the seller. I repaired the crack with some superglue. I will buy this product again because it tastes so good, and hope that next time it will arrive undamaged.

Very tasty and easy to use.

I bought this not really knowing if it was the right thing I wanted for a recipe, which is a powder lol, this is a paste I’m sure it says it, but I’ve used it in a few recipes and it’s got a lovely flavour definite gives a little heat to the dishes I’ve used it in. I’d buy it again too as it’s great. I’m not really sure if it’s value for money as I haven’t looked for it anywhere else, but it’s a lot of product and will last me a while as you use so little in the recipes.

It's a good product, but not something I use regularly. Surprised how short the use by date was. Will have look at another vendor.

👍

Bon prix, envoi rapide, parfait

Salsa cremosa agridulce picante, ideal para crear salsas

We’ve started using gochujang in a lot of dishes as a replacement for standard chili paste, and we’re hooked. The flavor has so much more depth — not just that “all heat, no character” thing you get with some chili pastes. It adds richness, sweetness, and warmth all at once. It’s surprisingly hard to find in a regular grocery store, and while our local Asian market carries it at a good price, this one is priced competitively and delivered right to our door. That convenience alone makes it an easy choice. If you’re looking to add more depth and complexity to your cooking, this is a fantastic pantry staple.
