I don't have to use mats often since I have the Cricut that can use the smart materials, but I started off only purchasing the super long mats thinking it would be better to have those and I would not need both. Honestly you don't need both, but if you don't want to hate your life while you are creating smaller designs I would just bite the fairly small bullet and get these. These make your life so much easier, and they are fairly inexpensive too. They are really easy to clean and hold up super well through cuts. I have not had any of mine show any wear or damage, even though they have been loved.

These mats work for my purposes, which is holding small items in place to apply resin. I also saw a video where she talked about cutting them down to smaller sized so that you can just pop them in the UV light, or even bring the uv light to them, for curing! They get kinda gunked up with the resin but they’re definitely reusable. Will buy again as price was agreeable.

Great for projects with vinyl or cardstock!

I ordered these thinking I could save a few dollars - well not so much. These are not original Cricut Mats, they don't have the flower pattern we are used seeing. I did not experience the strong smell that others did, as a matter of fact they almost have no smell at all. Whereas the original Cricut Mats do have a rather strong smell. My main complaint with these is that the adhesive makes it difficult to get the paper off the mat without tearing a layer off the paper. I've had a few cuts ruined because I couldn't get them cleanly off the mat. So, I'll go back to spending a bit more and getting the real deal from my local store or the Cricut site. (****UPDATE) I just went to Joannes to purchase some more Cricut mats and they looked exactly like the ones I just received and some of them said they were "New and Improved". So it does appear that the ones I purchased here on Amazon are genuine Cricut mats, but that Cricut is tinkering with the adhesive and design. That being said these are a good price for the mats.

I purchased these to use with a silhouette portrait (I cut them down the right hand side with big kitchen scissors to fit), and they’re much better quality than the Silhouette mats. They’re cheaper, and slightly thicker which makes them harder wearing. I use them with sticker paper and 300gsm cardboard, my machine takes them exactly as it does the Silhouette brand as long as I make sure they’re cut down enough with no problem at all. I get through quite a lot as I use my Silhouette Portrait almost daily, and these last twice as long so I definitely recommend them! They are very sticky when new, so I simply use a clean towel to destick them a little, which I was doing with the Silhouette mats anyway. At a better price, and lasting twice as long they’re a no brainer for me! I’ve purchased them a couple of times now due to heavy use, and will continue to do so.
