Mine didn't stick now its laying in my cupholder what can i do?

Mine would not stick where I wanted it to either, it kept falling down. First, I want to clarify that I am not an expert in this, but more of an adventurer. I went to a local hardware store and bought 3M ultra sticky double sided tape and reapplied to a smoother part of my vehicle interior. It has held up well since then. I did consider two additional options - but it depends on how picky you may be with your vehicle interior. 1. use tech screws to hold it where you want..... or 2. use varying degrees of sandpaper to smooth out the uneven surface. The tape requires a very smooth and non-"oily" surface to adhere properly; along with typically requiring an up to 24 hour hold period before load bearing. I realize that this is a long answer.
