Is it snow or sand in the elephant picture?

I honestly can't make up my mind. I tend to think it's sand. As when I think of elephants I see hot area's. Whatever I love that picture. It hangs over my bed on the side wall. Many people remark about it and like it.

What is in the tree? A boy & girl? I can't enlarge it enough to see...

Yes and Yes a boy and the girl has her head in her lap.

Nice, but thin.

I think the picture is pretty but was a very thin canvas. Took away from its appearance.
