D-2 Low Profile Rubber Duct Cord Cover

I recently purchased the Electriduct D-2 Low Profile Rubber Duct Cord Cover Floor Cable Protector, and it has proven to be a game-changer for my home office setup. The five feet of length provided ample coverage for organizing and protecting my computer wires, power extension cords, and ethernet cables. The gray color seamlessly blends with my floor, and the low-profile design truly lives up to its name, significantly reducing tripping hazards. What sets this cord cover apart is its user-friendly design. The center channel comes pre-slit, making installation a breeze without the need to disconnect or unplug anything. Cutting it to my desired length with a utility knife was easy, and the ribbed bottom provided excellent traction, preventing any annoying sliding issues. The raw rubber material, though susceptible to imperfections and scuffing, showcases the product's authenticity and durability. One notable feature is the "rubber bloom" mentioned in the product description. While my new cord cover did have a thin white coating initially, it quickly vanished after a simple cleaning, leaving a sleek and polished appearance. Overall, Electriduct's D-2 Cord Cover has transformed my cable chaos into an organized and hazard-free workspace. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to tidy up their cables with a reliable and well-designed solution. 5 out of 5 stars!

Works perfectly for one quad-shield thick coax, one shielded Cat 8 network cable, and one thin coax. Very pleases.

I was a bit nervous about these based on some of the other reviews, which I think raised legitimate issues about appearance and ease of use. Fortunately, I didn't have the problems that others have experienced. I ordered the brown cord cover, 25-foot length, to cover some speaker and network cables in my living room. The first 15 to 20 feet or so of the cord cover didn't have too much trouble laying flat. If you look at the back length in the attached photo, you'll see a bit of a rise at the right, where it goes under the entertainment center. Otherwise, it laid flat without any intervention on my part. It helps that I rolled out the length, placed heavy books on both ends, and left it flat for a few days before I worked with it. The inner part of the coil does have a problem laying flat but I haven't had to use that portion yet. When I do, I'll employ the techniques that others have used, e.g., coiling it up in the other direction, putting it in a sink and pouring boiling water over it, then laying it out flat when it's at its most pliable. The color was pretty true to what I expected. I ordered brown and I got a nice medium brown. It is pretty visible against the hardwood, as you can see, but I found that after a few days, I didn't even notice. Due to where I have it, and that it's pretty well anchored at both ends, I found that I didn't need to use any sticky tape to make it stay in place. Unless I'm scuffling along, it stays pretty well where I put it. My ILife robot vacuum cleaner has no problem with the cord cover, sliding right over it without any trouble or entanglements and without pushing it around. There were two thing that I didn't like about this cord cover. The first is that despite its width (which was wider than I expected, about one and a half times wider than the diameter of a typical 12-oz soda can), it can't actually hold much. I had hoped to use just one length of cord cover from my entertainment center to my surround sound speakers but with two pairs of 12-gauge speaker wires and an antenna cord, the first cord cover was completely full, so two of them were required. In all fairness, 12-gauge wire is pretty thick; if I were using the typical thin speaker wires that I've used before, I might have been able to fit them all. The second minor issue is that, as another reviewer noted, these are dust/lint magnets. I have no idea where this stuff comes from but within a matter of hours, both lengths of cord cover were speckled with visible lint. And this was in a pretty clean home with no kids or pets tracking things in. My suspicion is that this is just the usual stuff that comes in through open windows, gets tracked in from outside, etc., and then gets blown around and usually ends up in a corner or under furniture. Well, now it's ending up on these cord covers and it's sticking to the rubber. Oh, well ... more incentive for me to vacuum more often. Overall, I think these are okay. They're wider than I expected but I should have looked on a ruler before I purchased, and they don't hold quite as much as I wanted, but they do get the job done with a minimum of fuss. They're easy to cut to length with a box cutter and they lay pretty well where you place them. Depending on where you put them, you may not even need some sort of carpet tape or other double-sided tape. Overall, I'm pleased, and it's a lot cheaper to use this cord cover than it is to hire a professional to run these wires for me through the walls and under the floor.

If you don't need to run a lot of cables or have thick cables run, this will work great. I have mine running in front of my sliding glass door with a single cat 6 Ethernet cable running in it. The space for cables isn't very deep, and you can't run more than 1 or 2 regular gauge cables inside the cavity for it. If you have something like a lamp cord or even an extension cable, that'd probably be the only thing you'll be able to fit inside the cable guide. I'm in a wheelchair, and this helps protect the cables from getting destroyed by me rolling over them with my tires. It's also not too tall so going over it isn't too hard either. It's not easy, but it's not like a huge speed bump either. Simple set up, just unroll it, throw it under the sun for 30 minutes so it softens up and gets pliable, and then place it wherever you want it to go. Very easy. It's cheap, works well if you don't have a lot of cables to hide, and isn't a huge bump to walk or roll over. Very cool cable guide.

My EV won’t fit in my garage. This item works perfectly to be able to run my charging cable under the garage door. It protects the cable from damage, maintains the seal for weather sealing, and prevents mice from entering my garage while my EV charges overnight. It’s thin enough front to back that you really can’t see it when the garage door is closed. Easy to cut, I used a hacksaw and my angle grinder.

I only run a single coax cable through these but they work great for it. My door opens over the strip cleanly and I never trip over it. Per another review, I cut the lengths I needed off the coil and put those strips in the dryer for five minutes or so to help un-bend them. I don't know that it was really necessary but I did it anyway and they've been lying flat for two months now. I suppose for extra security one could use adhesive velcro on their backside and the underlying floor, but I've felt no need. The rubber material of the strip pressed against my hardwood floor provides enough friction to keep them in place and they are flat enough that I never kick them anyway. They smell a little like rubber if you put your nose within six inches, but it's only like being transported back to your 16-year old self stepping into Foot Locker at the local mall. It ain't bad, and it doesn't last, and the reviewers claiming it smells bad or chemically are probably also afraid of microwaves. This thing worked for what I wanted it to do.

Durable and did the job, but smells bad. I put double-sided tape under it to adhere to tile floor. A little stiff, hard to keep flat without the tape.

This concealer works wonder on the asthetic and safety in your house. I was initially concerned about how multiple wires would pose a tripping hazard for anyone. When I got it, I noticed how heavy it was. The material seemed of great quality. The rubbery smell might put you off at first, but it goes away eventually. I cut mine according to the length I wanted. The installation wasn't easy. I had some difficulty inserting the wires but then I noticed that I had to do some bending to the rubber to tuck them nicely. Once everything was in place, I put it on the floor and left it like that since I didn't want to put the included sticky tape in case I might need to move it. Overall, I like the neatness and fit of the wires inside the cord concealer. It doesn't look messy like it did before. I am pleased with the end result. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for safety and cleanliness of floor wires. I have had it for a couple of years. Just beware that this is a dust magnet. So clean it every once in a while. Overall this is a 9/10.
