It's important to protect lips from the sun and often neglected. This balm claims 30 SPF, which is minimum one should use. It goes on nicely and is pleasant tasting, important since it's difficult to avoid getting a bit of it the mouth.

This lip balm has a shockingly good flavor and scent. There is a slight aftertaste that is mildly soap-like if you ingest too much. As far as sun protection, I haven’t used it long enough to tell.

Pros: -Cruelty free/vegan -Smell/taste INCREDIBLE -Leave a cute glossy sheen on your lips -SPF, but doesn't leave a white cast Cons: -Doesn't moisturize for long at all I want to give them 5 stars, but the main point of a lip balm is to leave your lips feeling moisturized and hydrated. It does that at first, but quickly goes away and leaves me needing to reapply. They're still good, but don't leave the long-lasting hydration that I'd like.

I am allergic to the petroleum that is found in many lip balms, so I had to search for a while to find this product. It smells and tastes good, and doesn't leave my lips worse off than before, like so many other lip balms. This allergy appeared later in life, after years of using petroleum-based lip balms. I'm glad I found this product.

well i was thinking this chapstick was super great cause i read all of the reviews before i bought it, but it just kinda tastes like chemicals and it didn't protect my lips as much as i thought it would, my lips were still super chapped after a day in the sun.

I do like this lip balm. It is important I protect my lips from the sun in the same manner I do my skin. I’m prone to skin cancer and I’m in the sun often but with protection. I fish often and I am carrying this in my backpack. The texture is smooth and feels nice on my lips. Taste is a bonus. No more expensive than any other lip balm and it is SPF 30. Free ship for me. No brainer to try it. There are not many brands that have this amount of sunscreen. I personally want the highest level of protection that I can get. Lips get cancer too!!!

I bought this because I needed a good lip balm, with SPF in it. I like to cover all the bases in the sun. I know lips are not safe from sun exposure either. I shopped around and saw that Sun Bum had a pretty big line of products, and figured I'd try this. I bought it in the mango flavor. After the 2nd day of using it, my lips started to feel super dehydrated and very pursed. Almost like the moisture had been literally sucked out of them. The next morning, I woke up with the worst chapped/burned lips. I'm on around day 4 now, and they're not much better. They're at the point now where they're ithcy, scaling, sore to the touch, and now there's a scab right at the point of my top lip, where the blister had been. It's very uncomfortable to eat, or even drink (without a straw) and I don't know how this happened. I applied it liberally, and didn't spend hours in the sun. But it surely is like having sun poison on my lips. Now if it's a SUN burn, or a burn from the product itself, I don't know. Once this happened, I searched for other reviews about it and OMG, there were so many with the same experience. Such a shame. But I have to say don't buy this if you're reading my feedback. Not worth the nightmare it caused. I figured it could have been an isolated incident, but seeing all the other reviews with burns, blisters and such, there must be an issue with the ingredients or formula, otherwise. I have very small lips, and this picture clearly looks like I've had lip injections. As far as remedy, I've been slathering petroleum jelly on each day and at bedtime. I don't want to use anything with anything else in it, and make it worse.
