A gift that my family loved

The media could not be loaded. The person who gave this 3 stars was clearly on drugs. I'll preface by saying that I've been surfing for 25 years and I HATE surf photography and the "surf lifestyle". Cool boardies, bro, did you see Gabriel Medina's rodeo flip at Jeffrey's yesterday...? (shaka)Anyways, despite that, Chris Burkard has been one of a handful of photographers in the industry who actually creates unique visions and doesn't simply spray and pray with their 800mm or fisheye (others include Dustin Humphrey, Todd Glasser, and Morgan Maassen). Each photograph tells a story and is unique in its own right.Do yourself a favor and buy this book. If you like that mundane garbage known as surf photography, sip on this for an introduction to the real deal. Chris is incredibly talented and wish he'd put out a second iteration of this work.

Love this book, really inspiring

This was an absolutely stunning book!! The photographic genius of Chris just is breathtaking. He takes you to places most people could only dream of in a lifetime. Happy surfing through each and every page.

bought for surfing man who will be aware of some of these locations - beautiful photography -only wish the book structure was more solid.

Ok book. Pictures are not on shiny paper, like I expected. I was disappointed with the quality.

Assolutamente fantastico, l'ho oreso come regalo di laure per una amica. Il prodotto è arrivato con un giorno di anticipo allinterno del cartone delle spedizioni prime. Copertina rigida senza pecche, stampe ottimo e neri profondi. Le pagine sono spesse e in carta opaca quindi facilmente leggibile e si possono ammirare bene i dettagli delle foto anche grazie al grande formato. Consiglio oer chi è fan di Chris Bukard o della fotografia naturalistica in generale, soprattutto per chi ama paesaggi marittimi.

I purchased this book as a gift for my surfing brother, the book is awesome and arrived in excellent condition within a few days of purchasing it.

Einer der schönsten Bildbände, die ich in letzter Zeit erstanden habe. Wer surfsportaffin ist, dem sei dieser Bildband wirklich ans Herz gelegt. Absolut großartige und atemberaubende Aufnahmen von Mensch und Natur - inklusiver kurzer Geschichten zum Kontext. Die Verarbeitung des Bandes, das Layout und der Druck sind für mich auf sehr hohem Niveau und würden fast einen noch höheren Preis rechtfertigen. Die Bilder von Chris Burkard ohnehin.Und noch mal Danke an das Amazonteam. Durch ein Versehen des Logistikers wurde der Band erst an eine falsche Adresse geliefert. Nach einem kurzen Kontakt mit Amazon kam der Bildband dann noch am gleichen Tag korrekt bei mir an. Super.
