Satisfied overall!
Love the No Tox Dish Block! Of course, there are pros and cons to all products but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I have been using it for about a week and am satisfied to keep using it. Pros are: good for the environment, smells clean like bar soap, lathers quite well with just a tiny amount, and it seems to rinse well. Cons so far: doesn't do so well with greasy stuff like pans and had to break out the liquid degreaser. It is a little messy like bar soap is and not sure about soap build-up yet in the sink but I think I can sacrifice a little to not use harsh chemicals! It's a winner in my book! edit: So, after using this product for over a month now, not sure if I want to continue. It just is not great on greasy stuff. I also don't like the build-up in the sink either now that I've been using it. It is a messy bar on your sink...I do still like that it has no toxic chemicals. I love it for my cutting board for sure! I feel the residue is great protection on the wood and degreasers strip the wood cutting boards. I also like washing vegetables with it rather than my liguid degreaser. I just wish it wasn't so messy overall! Of course the people that came up with this will say 'the best stuff ever' for you but they can use as much as they want with unlimited supply! At 10 bucks a bar in this day and time, it's pricey for the working poor!

Absolutely love it!
I love this soap. I love that is totally non-toxic and plastic free. It also lathers up really well on the sponge and cleans really well. I haven't noticed any residue on the dishes. I'll definitely buy it again and again and again.

Long-lasting. Great for daily dishwashing. Not a heavy hitter.
I've been using a single soap block for almost 2 full years, hand washing all my dishes. It has certainly lasted a LONG time. Before, I'd refill my 18oz liquid soap dispenser every 4 months or so. Gentle on my skin, fragrance free, and works as well as I want it to for cleaning when combined with hot water. I use a soap brush with this (not a sponge) and that's what I'd recommend for anyone who wants to try this out. This product does NOT cut through grease nearly as easily as most liquid dish soaps, even after moderate dilution (1-to-1 with water, or even 2-to-1 with water). For 90+% of my daily dishes, this product is more than enough, but when I have an oily Tupperware container, I'll use my backup liquid soap still. The experience of using this product worsens towards the end of its life. You are never going to evenly use up the block across its surface, which makes it very easy to punch a hole through the center of the block before it's done. This caused my block to break up into smaller pieces, which makes it harder to work with. I've adapted by using up each piece individually and that works fine. Additionally, its surface will accumulate grime unless cleaned regularly. A bit gross, but manageable. Overall, I think I'll probably buy another one once my current one runs out and keep it going.

Very ideal for eczema.
I wanted to love this bar so bad when I first purchased it. It took a while to get the hang of using it at first but I found it to be so much easier to use a dish cloth rather than a scrub brush. I simply wet my dishcloth picked up the bar of soap and massaged it. It immediately created a lot suds that cleaned my dishes quickly and effectively, I do dishes three times a day so I let my dishes stack up and I only have to re lather about two times. I don’t like wasting water so I don’t fill my sink up instead I do a quick spray with my hose sprayer to wet the dishes and then rub them clean w the soapy cloth. I did try to do a small batch mixed with water as an option as well but I felt that the soap components separated within a couple of minutes and left my hands feeling greasy and my dishes as well so that was a hard no for me. I’ve been using the bar for 10 days now and it’s almost gone. I am WFH at the moment and my kids have been distance learning as well so as a huge family of 6 this dish block did get overworked in my opinion but I really wished the price per bar wouldn’t be an issue. I still have a few more days of use I assume so hopefully it can at least make it to three weeks of use. I did have days in which I had spots on my glass cups so I started drying my dishes immediately by hand and putting them away to avoid that but I also think that I probably didn’t reapply soap to my cloth because I was trying not to relather my cloth just for a glass cup that day and it goes back to what I assumed was the soap components separating. In the future when I reorder this product I will definitely go with the larger size block because the 6 oz bar will probably not last me for more than two weeks by the way it’s looking. Oh and as for the scent it has a very mild scent almost like the old school bar soaps but it’s more prominent when in use after you can’t even smell it on the dishes but I can smell it on my hands and they also feel moisturized after I’m done w dishes. I suffer from contact dermatitis and haven’t had an outbreak since using this product so that says a lot about it’s ingredients so I will definitely keep this bar soap on the top of my next purchase list after I go through the dish soaps I have now.

So far, I love it.
I like it so far. I filled a big bowl with hot water. I rubbed the dish rag over the bar and it generated a lot of product though not a lot of bubbles. I can do without the bubbles. I added more soap to the rag when necessary. I also tried running the hot water over the bar into the pan and it created a pan of soapy hot water. The dishes turned out clean. It might be important that this is Chicago water which is very hard so it was easy to rinse the soap off. I will try it again on Bloomington, Illinois water which is softer. I will probably continue to buy liquid dish detergent but I think that a very small bottle should last me for years for what I would need it for. I pre-rinse my dishes most of the time. I bought bars for my family members because I want everyone to greatly reduce their purchase of single use plastics.

Only last 2 weeks
I bought it august 12th and it's already down 3/4 the way and it's only August 27th. It foams up and washes well but I can't keep buying a new bar every two or three week.

Effortlessly Clean + No trash from packaging
Love this Block. It quickly and effortlessly cleans off pots and pans that most soaps fail to clean off. Just need a couple good scrubs as opposed to soaking pots, pans, dishes, cups etc., then scrubbing thrice. Ive used it to clean laundry stains, successfully removed thick adhesive glue like crud off my floors with the right brush and this soap before. 1st got the smaller block on Amazon, then a larger block off the No Tox Life website around 02/2020. Now it’s 06/2021 and I still have 2/3rds of a block left! Ice shaved some soap off the block, and put it in a sisal pouch to more lathered soap using very little shavings to clean my bathtub, toilet and bathroom sink with, it works perfectly! I’ve even used a scouring coconut pad, added just a couple drops of Dawn soap to the pad and I that’s effectively removed all the cr@p that seems impossible to remove from oven racks, works amazingly well! Just be sure to use gloves. You can use it to spot cleaning a rug or a stained article of clothing.. If you have a stainless steel sink, you’ll know how annoying it is to see your sink constantly coasted with white crap from the hard water, but after using a soft sponge with this soap, your sink will not just be clean, by it even provides your sink with a temporary coating on your skin that protects it from accumulating more grimy film for the next few days. It’s package/plastic free and because it’s nontoxic, it’s easy on skin including mine (which due to exposure of too many chemicals has developed painful skin inflammation.) (The large size on their website is over $20 but it lasts forever and there’s no leftover waste. I know that zero wasting isn’t considered “affordable” but every little sustainable product we buy helps reduce waste. ✊🏼♥️🌍

Better than any dish soap I've used!
This is easy to use, and cleans better than any dish soap I've used, ever. I loved using it. However, it is pricey for my budget, so I haven't replaced it.

It doesn’t clean well
I was excited to get this product because it’s free of dyes and fragrance. But to be honest, this product doesn’t clean well. I went through the same dish multiple times and the grease would stay.
