My cats and I love it!
My 2 cats love their kittyblock. They love to sit on top of it, sit inside of it, and scratch it. Sometimes they even fight over who gets to lounge on it. I hate having more traditional scratching posts, because they are such eyesores, so I enjoy it as much as they do. We had one of these blocks that lasted for two years, but then it became frayed. Whenever they scratched, it shed a lot of small pieces of cardboard everywhere and made a terrible mess. I replaced it with a new one, and the kitties love it just as much! It is expensive and it does have to be replaced after a few years, but it doesn't look hideous in my living room, and it's such a hit with the cats, that I think it's worth it.

Worth it - picky cat loves it!
I never write reviews, but had to this time to tell fellow cat guardians this is actually worth the $59 price tag for, essentially, cardboard. The box itself is sturdy and well constructed, able to be easily portable, but heavy enough to support cat antics w/o toppling or crushing. My cat is super unimpressed by most cat toys and apps I've purchased. The local humane society has been the beneficiary many times of his cat toy ennui. I saw this recommended by Jackson Galaxy on his show, and immediately Googled it. After some hesitancy in paying $59 for a cardboard box, I ordered. Could not be more pleased. After a good snooty sniff or two, my cat climbed in & started scratching. Several days later, he sleeps in it and sits on it, happily scratches away & really enjoys the damn simple thing. Recommend!

Well loved but pricey
The only thing crazier than $59 for a cardboard box is me voluntarily paying $59 for a cardboard box. That being said, my grandcat just loves it therefore I love it. She lounges on it, in it, and enjoys scratching it. Hereโs hoping it holds up over time. Cat would give it 5 stars but I have to take off a star due to the price.

$60 for a corrugated cardboard cube?
Yes, my cats like it. The price, though, is ridiculous, especially for something somebody probably made for $1.00 on the other side of the world.

Kittyblocks are awesome!
Our cat loves his kittyblocks! We bought a pair so we could create puzzles, stack them, and move them around for him. He's stopped scratching the carpets and exclusively uses the kittyblocks now. Fantastic! They are sturdy enough we decided they'd do double-duty as coffee tables in our small NYC apartment. Perhaps not the intended use, but it works great for all of us!

No Big Deal Product -- so disappointing
My kitty had mild interest in this block even after I sprinkled organic catnip on it. I thought he would go wild - but no..... He pays more attention to his regular corrugated scratcher then he does to this and between the block and the shipping, this was VERY EXPENSIVE, given what it is. Will not reorder, a plane old box holds more interest.

I love it but all they do it sit on it
I love it but all they do it sit on it. I don't think they understand yet that they're allowed to scratch the hell out of this piece of "furniture" lol. I'm sure in time they will go nuts as per their normal kitty selves. It's awesome, sturdy and any kitty would be nuts (many mine are) not to go mental on this thing!

but I can tell they love it. If you're looking for something to deter ...
Our two cats are obsessed with their Kittyblock--they sometimes scuffle over who get to sleep on it so we are thinking about ordering another one! Surprisingly, they've barely scratched it in the six months we've had it, but I can tell they love it. If you're looking for something to deter scratching on furniture, your best bet would probably be a tall scratching post rather than the Kittyblock. However, these blocks are a hit for their daily naps.
