Aside from the star cutouts that obviously let light through, they are a thick, blackout curtain material that blocks the light. The rings at the top are large and a little cheap looking. The tulle is so pretty and delicate and helps catch the light from the cutouts, but if you want a more solid look, you could just reverse them. The stars are whimsical and magical and let just the right amount of natural light through in the day but keep the room dark at night. A little expensive, but nice curtains overall.

Beautiful curtains esp when the light shines through.

We love these curtains they are so beautiful. The quality is good and they block out all the sun minus the sparkly bits that shine through.50/10 they add a ton of ambiance to the room and look nice.

I like everything about this product. I work night shifts and I was looking blackout curtains. I bought couple of "blackout" curtains from different companies, but the quality is very poor. These curtains Blackout and stylish. Finally I found what I was looking for. Highly recommended!

These curtains are absolutely gorgeous. I put these in both of my daughters room. Attaching pictures of my college student room. True black-out when needed... with a hint of light with the punch out design. Definitely worth the money spent.
