This is my second purchase of this. I left a hose attached to my first one during a freeze and it cracked. That was my fault; now I know better. Otherwise it works perfectly and seems very durable. Just don't let it freeze. I would happily buy another if the need arises.

Solid construction with SS ball. The fit is snug so no need to worry about leakage. Im using then indoor to connect the steam dryer to the cold water line instead of using the plastic one provided with the dryer or a tap. The finish is good and the handle for each side is a 1/4 turn. The handle is plastic but seems to be very robust and can easily be replaced. A SS screw holds the handles on. Each splinter came with extra gaskets. The valve here is strong and id have to be nuts to pick a plastic splinter over brass. Iys so solid you could seriously put a dent in the washer if you dropped the splitter on it its a keeper. YMMV

Haven’t used it yet, but the build quality looks great. It feels solid and heavy, not cheap at all. Seems like good quality brass.

I bought this Y last year and it worked great. This spring, it sprung a leak. I took out the washer because it was obviously damaged. Both my son and I tried to replace it with a regular hose washer and couldn't do it. Viewing Y's to buy, I noticed a new one comes with washers. Thinking the washers were specific to the splitter, I bought a new one thinking I could replace the old washer. They are regular hose washers and if they can be replaced, they are very difficult. If I use a screw driver to try and place the washer, it destroys the washer.

poor quality, had to get pliers to move the levers and the thread connection was do bad i had to put thread tape which didnt work and then completely seal it with a silastic
