I found these anise candies when I went looking for the square red anise candies in the red cellophane wrapping I remembered from when I was a little kid, many years ago. While looking I realized that even if I found ones that looked like those red ones they most likely wouldn't live up to the expectation created by nostalgia. I believe these colorless and transparent hard anise candies are less sweet than the ones I'm remembering, more like chewing a fresh picked anise leaf or crunching some dry anise seeds, and that's all to the good. I ordered a 7 ounce bag first and needn't have bothered. I knew from the first delicious candy that I'd be ordering the big bag. Not only do these taste like a sip of anisette, their elongated oval shape has a really nice "mouth feel". Very good quality candies and a good value when purchased in the 1 kg/2.2 lb bag.

These candies are delicious although the bag didn’t seem evenly distributed between the two flavors definitely have more of one than the other.

I like citrus candies that are not too sour/tart or too sweet. I decided to try these. I was pleasantly surprised. I like the flavor and they were not old or stale. I would order again but would like to try other brands as well like Perugina sorrento spicchi

I brought these mints to add to a tea gift set that I gave to 18 friends & family. Every raved about the nice minty flavor and they asked where I bought the mints. I would buy these mints again.
