What does the 5th or 6th generation mean? How can you know you're buying the newest model?

From the Omega website: "The NC800/NC900 compared to the 8006: The size of the feed chute is larger so you spend less time prepping before juicing."So to be clear, the NC900 and the NC800 are identical.  Don't confuse the NC800 with the 8003, 8004, 8005 or the 8006 because those are older models and have a smaller feed chute diameter.Look for the "NC" because that tells you that you have the latest model.   The NC800 and the NC900 are exactly the same except for the cover material or color.  The NC900 Stainless model is considerably heavier and lacks a carry handle (which I think is a shame) but is the same machine otherwise.

Question 2

What is the difference between Omega 8008 and this one? Is the 900 model the newest?

I understand the 900 has a larger feed chute and has the adjustment on the ejection port for different consistencies of veggies.  Go to Omega's website, look up the two juicers and click on "add to compare" on both juicers and then open the comparison window.  I have the 900 which I use about 3 times a day....it is a great juicer.  I would not want a smaller feed chute.  Hope this helps a little bit.  I am guessing but it seems the 900 is a bit of an upgrade but is also more expensive.

Question 3

What is the correct pulp adjustment number for each vegetable and fruit? More info then just 1-2 for fruit and then the 3-5 for vegetables, please.

The pulp adjustment number doesn't need to be exact. It's more of an art than an exact science. I haven't noticed a major difference between using 1 or 2 for fruit. You will notice a difference between 5 and 2.

Question 4

Can you juice only wheatgrass ? I read that you should use a carrot (hard veg) to push down to avoid clogging, but what if I only want to juice soft

The Omega NC900 includes an adjustable pressure cap that allows you to "dial in" the output for the best results. For soft fruit you dial it back to 1 or 2 on the dial for best results. For wheatgrass and other leafy greens dial it to 5 for maximum pressure. You'll be able to use this dial to help fine tune your output to your liking. As others have already stated, wheatgrass alone will require some cleaning of the screen as you juice, but that is a simple thing to do.
