Signature Music Pro Double Bass Drum Pedal New 7199

I'm a new drummer teaching myself to play. I have played more expencive double pedals and wanted one for a cheap set of drums that was donated to me. This fills the beginner double base player perfectly. The build quality was OK, and yes the screws are all loose and need to be tightened before use. The return springs both came loose the first time I played but just took a good once over and all was well. I beat the tar out of these nightly and they have stood up to my 6'5 legs thus far. They are cheap, but quality sets are double or triple the price. Tighten the screws and Rock on'

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! DO NOT BUY! crappy cast aluminum that does not hold on to the bearings and no locking mechanism to keep the bearings in place so it all falls apart mid song and the entire assembly falls apart. I only gave four stars so my review would show up

Nice and responsive. The pedals are easy to adjust. Each pedal can be used a single pedal which is nice too. The box had a hole in it when it arrived. It did arrive with some scratches and two nuts were missing. The rubber pads work well to keep it stable but it you will still need a carpet to keep the pedal in place. After about 20 hours or so of playing the beater is a a little flattened on one side but doesn’t affect the sound.

Pedal arrived with questionable construction. Beaters were wobbly and not tightened all the way, and there was plastic wrap that went underneath the screws, so you'd have to disassemble the pedal to fully remove them (I did not do this, wanting to test it out before putting in the effort.) On the first song I played, I immediately noticed the left beater was incredibly wobbly, no matter how much I tightened the screws and adjusted the spring tension. This meant that the left pedal gave me a lot of false positives and felt very flimsy. I tried swapping beaters, adjusting all the screws and springs, nothing helped. On the SECOND song I played, the pedal completely fell apart. A screw meant to hold the left beater in place began to jut out, stopping the left pedal from moving, and upon closer inspection, the hole for it wasn't even threaded, so the screw was just pushed in haphazardly. I put it back in as best I could, but then the bar connecting the pedals fell off and no matter how much I tightened the screws, it wouldn't stay back in. I thought, maybe I got a faulty unit, so I went to find the brand's support page, and it doesn't exist anymore. You have to go through a SEPARATE company, with a different listed address and contact than the documentation in the box, so sending in my registration and warranty form wouldn't have even done anything. The old support address that doesn't work is still listed on the brand's Amazon page, and the new brand name doesn't appear to have this product in their catalog. I wasn't going to jump through all these hoops for a product like this, and neither should you. Spend a little bit more and get something better. Don't waste your time on this wobbly, unreliable, poorly made pedal.

Skip if you are an advanced player, but if you are learning and have a decent kit and learning double bass, these are great and easy to set up! Again, not the best but worth the price for a beginner!

I don't have a single bad thing to say about these pedals. I've had them for abou two days now and have put normal use on them without any issues. They are sturdy and quiet, there is plenty of surface area for your feet on the pedals, and they can be used as two seperate pedals if you have dual bass drums. They come packaged as two pedals, two beaters, the crossbar, and a key, so I'm not sure why people are having issues with loose parts or their pedals falling apart, because you have to finish assembling them to use them.

I read a ton of reviews before purchasing this pedal & heeded all the "warnings" about loose screws, etc. upon receiving shipment. I thoroughly checked everything & found nothing was loose whatsoever. I have used this pedal daily since I bought it over 2 years ago. The only thing I changed on it were the beaters, but not due to poor quality. I play a 28" bass drum & the beater shafts were too short to reach the center of the drum. I added 2 Gibraltar long shaft red wooden beater, which are way heavier as well, and with them this pedal kicks @ss! So, if you can still buy these pedals I highly recommend you do it. Yes, check out all the screws & bolts, etc. before use just to be sure. Then enjoy!!

What About Double Kick Pedals?I consider it a defining polarity with in drumming, much more than electric or acoustic or jazzy hand style playing or doing tricks with a forth tom or dinging a seventh 4" cymbal below the hi hat, this seems to define the way way alot of drummers approach the drums when playing in their more colloquial style. Why I bought it? Because I haven't played with a double kick in about two years. Within countless scenarios where my drum set must fit into a sedan I must have left the kick pedal at a ? So I'll give up playing with a double kick and just work out a single. Thats worked awesome for several years now. Thought I'd give this particular piece a try to get my self back into the double kick why of things. Why You Should Get It? ONLY if you want a double kick pedal but times are tough for you, you aint got a raise in three years, you just got done purchasing all your books for classes, just got done paying the parking tickets procured while purchasing said books and every ones birthday for every one you know is this month or something like you just gotta get a cheap one, maybe your parents love you but hate you just enough to watch you suffer with this piece of... Why You Shouldn't/BUT MAYBE?: If you are an experienced drummer you probably think the first thing is stupid and stopped reading, but if you did just note that unless you just can't save the extra 30-40 dollars this thing feels brittle, note even put together correctly as in it comes built, but the components will have to literally be taken apart and reformed to make a working pedal, I even salvaged pieces from a previous single pedal but thats only because they were better not NEEDED. I recommend that they either get better or you go some where else (of course the reviews on this are all over the place, so I can just be one of the unluckies but still, its are 80 dollar lottery compared to a 120 certainty) ON THE OTHER HAND if you are completely new then go fo itr, the pain and suffering of putting this thing back together again will be great practice for the hours of time wasted because you decided Gibraltar was to expensive.

As allready mentioned in many other reviews youbdefinitely need to check it out to make sur everything is tight and thats about it... Seems pretty solid... Assembles in a flash... Had it set up and ready to kick in about 15 minutes ! Good item with good price i was pleasantly surprised

Excelente experiencias

This isn't a "plug and play" product, it takes a bit of custom work and setting it in a manner that works with your drumming style and comfort. Cost compared to product, fantastic. Product build is definitely solid, doesn't feel like it's going to break while playing it. Only issue I have had so far is the splitter bars length. It would have been nice to get a longer one as well

So, I've had this double pedal for 3 months now. At first, I didn't know if I was going to keep it as it kept falling apart. But, I pulled it out from behind the kit and spent time tightening and basically re-assembling parts of the pedal and it has been working pretty good for the last 2 months with no issues. I think for the money, it's a great pedal for light to moderate use. My 11 year old is learning drums and she practices about 1/2 hour every day and it is holding up quite nicely now. What about heavier use? I wouldn't depend on it if you are doing a lot of stage gigs, etc. Hope this helps make your decision.
