Excellent crock
Love everything about this crock. Made my first batch of sauerkraut and it exceeded my expectations. Really like the deep well to put salt water in, I don't have to fill it as often in case I forget about it. Came very well packed and arrived in perfect shape. I just ordered the same thing in the 10 liter size. A little pricey but like my Dad used to say, "you get what you pay for."

Fermentin Fool
I like everything about this crock. As others have commented it is an excellent product. Solid, easy to use, easy to clean. One tip, which is pointed out in the accompanying recipe book, but maybe not obvious, is related to the water level in the channel. Please note that after the fermentation activity settles down you can get a vacuum effect that sucks in the water from the channel making it appear the water has evaporated. Just tilt the lid up on one side to equalize the pressure. I've made batches of sauerkraut and Sriracha in mine with excellent results. The only thing I might have done differently is to get a bigger crock. Friends and family like the stuff so much I can't keep any of it in stock.

The water ring around the top does not allow any outside air into the batch and is easy to add water to if evaporating fast in y
After fermenting in this crock and fermenting in jars, there is simply no comparison. With the crock you can do larger quantities and it is set and forget. There are no worries of over-expansion of the kraut with the generous diameter and height of the inner well. The ceramic weights are heavy and very effective holding down the cabbage. The water ring around the top does not allow any outside air into the batch and is easy to add water to if evaporating fast in your area. My only recommendation is only add enough water to cover the lid vent apertures by ≈1/4". Adding too much water seems to cause a lot of pressure to build internally causing the eventual Co2 release to splash some water over the retention ring. Just check the water level every couple of days to ensure it's adequate. Be forewarned that this is a heavy item and care should be taken when moving from one spot to another. Its larger mass is a bonus however, keeping temperature change minimal through the day. I am very proud of this purchase and recommend this crock to anyone that enjoys larger batches with minimal maintenance during the fermentation process.

Very nice for pickling, but also very heavy
This is really well made, but as the headline says, it's really heavy. Not a problem for me, but could be for others, and the handles are a little small for that weight. Aside from that I love it. I make pickles and sauerkraut regularly. Very nicely made. BTW, ignore silly comments about the weights being unglazed. While that's true, they are fired, just like the rest of it, and are non-porous.

Beautiful crock.
This seems perfect for sauerkraut can't wait to try it. It's beautiful and larger than I thought it was to be.

One of the best Crocks you can purchase.
This crock is well made and very functional. The best part about this crock is the deep well that holds the water to seal it so oxygen will no enter and the gases can escape keeping the contents that are fermenting free from bad bacteria. As long as you keep the well filled with water and the room temp is not too hot the contents will remain good. I have kept sauerkraut fermenting for over a month before transferring to jars and then to the fridge. I have a crock very similar to this one and kept the kraut for almost a year in it and it was fine.

Fantastic for Kraut and Kimchi
We bought this crock about two year ago. It arrived in perfect condition, and was very well-packed. We've made several batches of kimchi and sauerkraut and couldn't be happier. For us (2 people now that the kids have left home), it makes batches that are the perfect size. It produces around 6 x 680 ml jars. We purchased the sauer stick (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01H7G1MJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) on Amazon at the same time to pack the kraut and kimchi. It's a match made in heaven. Since we grew the produce in our own garden, the cost is almost nothing. If you're new at fermenting veggies, it's so easy and rewarding. The air lock top is awesome and allows the CO2 to escape without introducing air into the vessel. HIGH RECOMMEND this one.

So much better than expected!!!
I own a 7 litre Kerazo Crock and I love it, however I wanted another crock that was smaller. I had my expectations due to the one I already own but WOW this crock exceeded my expectations! I especially love the deeper water reservoir. In my opinion this is the best crock I own, or have seen. Also, delivery was really fast and it was packed so well. I couldn’t be happier 😁 There’s only one thing that could be improved and that’s the knob on the top of the lid, I wish it was a little bigger just for ease of lifting, but it in no way is a negative feature. I’m so happy I made this purchase
