Yes it has to be mixed. The small bottle is the hardener, you will have a period of time to work with it before it hardens.

Can this be allied to different areas or does the whole hull need to be done at the same time?

No...you can put in trouble areas only. I only did my rivets.....nothing else.....worked like a charm.

Depends on ur thickness u put but it cover a 16ft john boat the bottom transum and other spots

What thinner do you use and has anyone used this in a spray gun?

I used no thinner, not needed. Spray gun?? This is an epoxy type material that needs to go on thick so it can penetrate holes, cracks, etc. I see no use for a sprayer.
