It does not come with games they have to be bought separately I looked up Gameboy advanced games and found them you may also get lucky and be able to find them

No I would love to have Pokémon!

Can you play gbc games on a gba?

You ABSOLUTELY can, doing it right now. The Gameboy Advance AGB-001, the Gameboy Advance SP 001 and Gameboy Advance SP 101 all play GB, GBC, and GBA games flawlessly. The Gameboy Advance Micro is NOT backwards compatible and is a smaller GBA only system.
