I bought the all black fur style, which is slightly different than this brown style, but mine are all man-made materials & synthetic faux fur. Please keep in mind, these run small! Consider ordering a size up. Hope this helps : )

Can the laces on these be untied and retired? I need slipper boots with laces that can be tightened around my ankle.

There are no laces on these slippers but there is a bit of elastic gathered at the back so they don't slip at all. Very comfortable. I love then!

I haven't washed them yet, but I plan to. I think they are washable.

How long is the cuff on the "furry monster" slippers?

I assume you are referring to the shaft as there is no cuff, per se. The shaft measures 9" from the floor to the top of it
