Sound Healing: Vibrational Healing with Ohm Tuning Forks - Second Edition (Book & DVD/NTSC)

This is my first book on using tuning forks and I felt it was a great beginner book. I have not used tuning forks before but I had some on order from Amazon and wanted to know how to use and care for them. I felt I would like to use OM/OHM/AUM frequencies as the basis for my own work so this book attracted me as it was based on the frequencies of OHM. There are other books and methods out there but the author explains her method and explains the parts of the tuning fork, how to use and hold them, the different frequency ranges, etc. I debated whether to buy the Kindle version or the physical book and DVD. I'm glad I purchased just the Kindle book. You can find a short demo video on YouTube along with a lot of other videos on using tuning forks and book was pretty clear on how and where to use the tuning forks so I didn't really need the DVD. There are black and white line illustrations clearly showing points on the body you can apply the tuning fork(s) and photographs showing placement, how to hold the forks, etc. The book wasn't too long and touched on a variety of topics. I feel it gave me the info to I needed and I can explore other thoughts and ways of using tuning forks and other frequency producing tools such as metal and crystal bowls, sound chimes, etc. later. What I started with tuning forks because they are portable so they are easy to store and transport plus reasonable durable. I don't have any health issues but feel I will maintain my health by learning to relax and take care of small things before they turn into big issues. I'm sure I'll develop my own thoughts about the tones and how and when to use them. The book was to the point so and it was reasonably priced at $7.99 for Kindle version at the time of this review. The other books I looked at first were more expensive and either seemed more than I wanted to know or more into the theory of sound/frequency healing than the actual how to. I think this book is a nice balance of everything with the emphasis on using the fork with the author Marjorie De Muynck's experience/method so I recommend this book as a practical beginning place.

Being the first book I've read on tuning forks, I have none other to compare with. But, it covers a lot and seems complete in instructions and explanation. I really liked it and am excited to start using my tuning forks.

This book has lots of great techniques that are easy to follow. It is also easy to read. Thank you.

Well researched, articulate, great photo illustration. Been exploring tuning forks & vibrational healing for the past decade, this is the most functional text I have encountered.

Excellent manual for how to use the Weighted OM tuning forks in different octaves, both individually and together. This reference book is full of insights, clear descriptions and instructions, and even lots of good ideas for optimum background music for your healing sessions.

I have been looking to introduce ENERGY WELLNESS into my Massage Studio. This book has convinced me that Ohm Tuning Forks is the way to GO!

Good informational tool on the basics of applying ohm tuning forks. Kindle version had some illustrations but did not have detailed illustrations which would have been useful.

Very disappointed

Some very interesting research and aspects of sunlight/UV/classroom/workplace lighting etc and connected therapies thereof. It has really got me thinking, and reading this made me glad I don't wear suncream, mostly because I can't be bothered, but also because I don't like putting any chemicals on my skin if I can possibly avoid it (I am an easily burnable redhead, but look for shade if overheating, never deliberately sunbathe, and wear hats etc). Highly recommended book, that will make you think twice. Rickets is back on the increase, and the only known cause is lack of Vitamin D and sunlight...
