Hangman Heavy-Duty Mirror and Picture Hanger with Walldog Anchorless Screws - Aluminum: HM-30D

I used this hanger instead of the one that came with the mirror that i had purchased, because it was a better design. This bracket comes with the fasteners, and a handy level that slides into the middle of the wall side hanger, so there is no need to get a level to get it straight. The only negative, is that both brackets arrived damaged. I was not a big deal to straighten both of them out. Easy to hang once brackets are installed. Just take whatever you are hanging, go above the wall side hanger up against the wall, and drop it down and you are in. No wires to worry about. Nice and easy!

This was easy to put on a large and heavy wall piece. This is on a mosaic mirror piece that I hung over the fireplace. Was not sure how to hang something this heavy or big and I knew that there would not be a stud where I needed it. So this looked like a good solution with the weight distributed over the length of the hanger it seemed to be safer for hanging. The piece that is attached to the wall has a level so that made that easier to hang and the piece for he back of the picture was easy to apply and the backing of the mirror was wood so it screwed in just fine. Mounting was simply putting the piece in the track so it was level and secure just by hanging. I had to do all of this on a 12 foot ladder so I needed to use something that was relatively easy to use. Will use this system again for a large and heavy picture. I recommended this system to a friend with a large picture she was hanging over a couch and she also thought it was easy to install and use.

My wife had the beautiful mirror sitting on the floor in the corner. It's very large, quite heavy, and where she wanted it, hangs sideways. What to do? I guess I could reposition one of the hangers and measure the crap out of everything to figure out where to place a couple drywall anchors. Then I was surfing Amazon and found this! The walldogs are the most amazing drywall screws ever invented. Mounting the bracket on the wall was quick and easy. Mounting the other half to the mirror was just as easy. Now I don't have the try to wrestle this giant mirror while aligning 2 little screws behind it with 2 little eyelets on the back that I can't even see. A two man job became a very easy one man job. I'm also not sure I would trust all that weight on two drywall anchors. Now it's on NINE Walldogs, spread evenly across the load. This was an amazing invention! I'll be sure to buy more of these when I have large items to hang. I should mention, the mirror has a beautiful hardwood frame. That's what the other half of this attaches too. It comes with a bunch of little wood screws. I drilled small holes into the wood, making sure not to drill too deep to drill through the front! I have nine screws in this part as well. It's very solid.

I received a cool piece of art that measured 4 x 5 feet, painted on masonite. I read about these hangers on some blog and they did exactly what they're supposed to: made it easy to hang a large, heavy piece of art with out fear you'll damage your walls or have the art fall off the wall. Knocked off a star on the installation because our walls are some strange substrate and had to fiddle a bit with the screws, but it is secure and level, and I'm pleased with the outcome.

Used these for a wall-mounted entertainment center. The entire system on the wall weighs about 120 lbs. I bought different drywall anchors; the ones provided are likely strong enough, but I just wanted extra reinforcement! These are low-profile, easy to install and very sturdy. 30" is great if you don't know your stud distance. My studs are 16" on center, so I hit two studs with this bracket and filled in the space between the studs with drywall anchors. I doubt this thing is ever coming off the wall. One tip: I put small Z-clips at the bottom corners of my wall-mounted entertainment system. This prevents the system from sliding up in the bracket if someone were to pull the bottom out away from the wall - Additional safety feature.

I used the longer version to install a fairly heavy 60' wide headboard (about 50 lbs.) and even though the product feels very light-weight, it seems to hold the headboard securely and I have no concern about it falling. It was easy to install, the included level was spot on (I double-checked it with my own longer level, and the multiple drilled holes made it easy to ensure that it was screwed into two studs. The only concern I have is that in an earthquake, there's nothing to prevent the headboard from being dislodged from the track and landing on my head. In a high-traffic area or with active children running around, you'd have the same risk of the item being jostled enough to do the same thing. I've installed a shelf directly above the headboard, screwed into both the headboard and the wall, to prevent that, and if you didn't want to do that you could probably install braces above or below the hanging item to prevent upward movement. But this problem is true of most methods of hanging heavy items on the wall, so it shouldn't be considered a defect in the product. One star taken off for the price, which seems way too high for what the product consists of.

Was desperately trying to find something like this, so was very happy when I found it. Very simple and effective. Used it on a 3x4 mirror with wood frame. The drill holes spacing didn't line up with my studs, but because it is so wide you can easily shift the bracket sideways to hit a couple of studs (assuming the thing you are hanging is wide enough of course). Was able to hang a pretty heavy mirror without assistance. Probably not the best plan, but can be done given how easy the brackets interlock. Not completely flush, probably 1/4-3/8 from the wall at the top. Key of course is that the two brackets have to be perfectly horizontal when you screw them in. Once it's mounted you have no wiggle room like you would with a wire hanging technique. There is a baby bubble level included, but you will want to use a longer level if you have one.

I can't tell you how happy I am. I ordered this product a two weeks ago and it hadn't arrived, despite amazon telling me it had. I sent an email via Amazon to the company and they sent a new one to me. The quality is excellent and fits the purpose. I will no doubt buy it again in the future for hanging another mirror.

Was able to use this to hang a very heavy mirror in my bathroom where there was no stud in the middle of the mirror to screw into. This made it easy to get it hung in the perfect spot and is super sturdy.
